Reagan Insider: GOP Destroyed US Economy

Yep, and Obama is king on this one...figuratively speaking. Heck, even literally with the way things are going.

I disagree. ;)

Um, what about Americans? They spent like there's no tomorrow too.

And what about taxes being too low? We don't pay enough taxes to match the services we demand. It's like demanding that M&M be 5 cents. It just can't operate like that.

Cut spending and you'll hear plenty of angry voters demanding that they get their jobs back... like police, teachers, firemen, public officials, etc.

You have to spend to invest. That's the way it works.

Not with the Federal govt. You don't spend tax dollars we don't have into the trillions. That's not investment. That's plain outright irresponsible and stupid.

That why I disagree with all kokonut's post above.

Netrox is damn right.

Nah its all the money the government wastes on useless things. Bush wasted a lot of money and Obama is following the same path. When people say cut spending its not the necessary things we want gone its all the crap that doesn't benefit us.

Right. Except that Obama spends about 3 to 4 times as much which doesn't help anybody except points to bankruptcy. Heck, we're already bankrupt.

kokonut, just stop repeating b.s.

Your favorite Bush was the one that ruined this economy:

"The story of today’s deficits starts in January 2001, as President Bill Clinton was leaving office. The Congressional Budget Office estimated then that the government would run an average annual surplus of more than $800 billion a year from 2009 to 2012. Today, the government is expected to run a $1.2 trillion annual deficit in those years.

You can think of that roughly $2 trillion swing as coming from four broad categories: the business cycle, President George W. Bush’s policies, policies from the Bush years that are scheduled to expire but that Mr. Obama has chosen to extend, and new policies proposed by Mr. Obama."

Note that the majority of money is lost thanks to Bush's policies.

Obama should stop extending Bush policies.

Rather they should stop using Obama's policies since it hasn't helped with anything. Secondly, Obama's first year of spending equaled Bush's 6 1/2 years of deficit spending.

You can't spend (money we don't have) your way out of a recession by creating more debts. Obama continues to expand the govt and spending while tax collection cannot even come close to matching the needed money to support both. Open your eyes, dude. It's the same idea of maxing out on your 10th credit card while earning barely enough to pay off the first credit card on monthly payments.

Are you that naive??? Whose idea was it to expand the spending? What would have happened to Obama if he refused to go along with it? Get real.

Obama signed all of the spending bills. Not once did he veto a bill. It is simply unsustainable to see an expanding govt role, adding new agencies, take over companies, and spend money that's not even available. The naivete' belong to the people who think this sort of spending is sustainable. It is not. Get real yourself.

Uhhh...okayyyyy.

I guess you support irresponsible spending into oblivion then?

Fine.

:jaw:

You actually support irresponsible spending into oblivion by our govt?

I think somebody is taking Beowulf a tad too... seriously.

According to the OP, our bankruptcy is thanks to your beloved Repubs!:laugh2:
