Photos of Chicago, IL

No way I'd be able to get that kind of photo. Anyways, I'll be headed downtown this weekend for photos down there. Expect to see a bunch of them on Saturday evening.

Go to William Tower and take a pretty photo where you stand!

All right.... I'm on my lunch break from my travels today, so while I'm catching my breath, and resting my back, I'm going to upload the following photos:

This is the theater at Navy Pier.

The next photos shows the Chicago Skyline, and in the background, Indiana.

This next photo is of the famous Navy Pier Ferris Wheel:

These photos was taken after I got off the #29 State Street bus:

This is outside of Navy Pier, and at the CTA bus terminal:

This was a spur of the moment photo, and one I couldn't pass up:

It's pretty obvious where it was taken.

This was taken at the Harold Washington Library CTA stop:

This sign caught my attention, and I snapped a photo of it:

A small portion of the Chicago downtown bike path:

A bicycle streetlight!! A new thing for me to see.

The Willis Tower, up close and personal. If you look closely, you can see The Ledge.

The Chicago River, facing north, on Jackson Blvd:

Another Chicago River photo, this one facing south, on Adams:

Entrance to Oglivie Transportation Center:

Apologies for the raindrops; it must have been raining up north.

Did you do a lot of double takes (looking at people twice)? There's a Twins Convention going on in Chicago this weekend. I have friends there and one of the twins is posting pics on FB.

I can see them just fine. I'm not sure why you're not able to see them instantly, but I am glad you did see them.

After lunch, I took these photos, but wanted to wait to upload them because I was tired, and needed to rest, so here they are:

This is the other side of Navy Pier, opposite from the one I took yesterday morning after getting off the #29 bus.

A second shot of the famous Ferris Wheel at the Pier:

Another Chicago Skyline photo, this one taken at ground level, quite a bit aways from the earlier photos:

A little bit of something in this one:

Another Skyline photo, a little closer to the lake:

This next photo was too good to pass up:

This was taken after the funmaze photos had been taken:

Today's photos were taken along Michigan Ave, and Columbus Ave to the east.

This one was taken on Randolph, the only one taken there.

These photos were taken on Columbus Ave:

These next photos were taken at Cloud Gate:

All right.... these are the final artwork photos of 2014, and these were taken along the Red Line, in several different spots:

I was in Chicago today;

Today's photos were taken along my usual 10-block walk after the meeting today.

This is at Ravenswood Station. They are putting in a 3rd rail, something they haven't gotten around to doing just yet, but should either this fall or next year.

These were taken just before I got to the station:

This clock is a very old one, and can be easily seen on the CTA's Brown Line.

Today's photos cover a very large area in downtown Chicago, all the way from Adams and Wacker to Lake and Canal, and then some.
