Mod Note:

This forum is for 'whatever' anyone believes in, the beliefs they may hold, as well as to share informations regarding any beliefs whether or not the person holds such beliefs, however, the 'key' to successfully have these types of threads in this forum is respect, there will always be some that don't hold similar views, thoughts with another person's beliefs, in no way does it give anyone the 'right' to bash, quash (to put down, suppress), be insulting, name-calling, etc., Therefore, viewpoints and opinions will vary from one person to another...discuss/debate with 'respect' (as well as civilly--politely), if none can't refrain from making such posts/comments that are deemed bashing, insulting, etc., then certain actions may or will be implemented. ;)

Yeah, there's lot of Mormons in Utah. That's why I am not interested in Utah too.

So, are Christians too involved with fighting the world's evils, or not involved enough?
GOD is NOT work because missed choice where is go any other Heaven Kingdom?

Where is 10 Commandments??

//Bro Ormond[/QUOTE]

Some are different than my mormon friend. Now I am confused about Mormon, I thought they hate pornography, drugs, etc.? Can you explain to me more about Mormon? I mean their beliefs, their view on the hot topic today, like the gay/lesbo/bi, abortion, etc. I would like to know much explaination from you about the Mormon, and I am sure the ADers (All Deaf Forumers) will want to know about the Mormons too.

My advice, try to not convience other to get into the Mormon, we are here to debate, remember that. ;)

Mormon is opposed on homosexual, from marriage to activity, also unlike other different of christianity and opposed on abortion too, also same goes on pornography.

Attend at BYU (Mormon college in Utah) isn't fun because male students aren't allow to have beard due religion issue, also no goatees too and no cross-dressing.

Mormon children aren't allow to play outside or go out to somewhere on Sunday because of big family day.

To Pacman, and everyone.

I found good informations about Mormon's view of homosexuality from Wikipedia.org,

This is the summarized one.

[edit] Homosexuality and Mormonism
Main article: Homosexuality and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints considers homosexuality or homosexual behavior to be sinful just as adultery and fornication are considered to be sinful. Homosexual desire when dwelled on is also viewed as sinful. The LDS church encourages its members not to "feed any such tempted desire."

The LDS Church as an institution does not endorse any political party, candidate or legislation, but many individual Latter-day Saints have actively opposed efforts to legalize same-sex marriage or civil unions. LDS doctrine holds that heterosexual marriage is one of many requirements for entry into the "highest degree of glory" of the Celestial Kingdom, the highest of the three heavens mentioned by Paul in the New Testament. Marriage between a man and a woman is not only required but is considered an essential part in the so named heaven being that family (nuclear family) is believed to be the fundamental unit of society in this life and in heaven.

The church believes homosexuality to be a problem which is destructive to families and to individuals. Members who experience these "problems" are counseled to receive guidance and help from their family, bishop, or presiding authority. It is also considered as serious as adultery and fornication because Mormons believe all three are difficult to give up, undermine the family, and are sins for which one must repent.

In order to give a more clear view on the LDS view of same-sex marriage; the current church president (Gordon B. Hinckley) said in a 2004 interview with Larry King the following...

"Well, we're not anti-gay. We are pro-family. Let me put it that way. And we love these people and try to work with them and help them. We know they have a problem. We want to help them solve that problem." (CNN.com - Transcripts)

The LDS Church is against any form of homosexuality but also is opposed to and officially condemns persecution and violence against gays and lesbians, and encourages people to instead treat homosexuals as neighbors in accordance to Christ's teachings of neighborly love, in whatever the actions they choose.[15]

So this is like Hilary's view. Not a anti-gay, but a pro-family. It just doesn't make sense, pro-family is a anti-gay.

Mormons believe that the physical body is sacred and shouldn't be contaminated. This means no alcohol, no tobacco in any form, no use of recreational drugs and no caffeine (e.g. tea or coffee). While Mormons don't have to be vegetarians, they are encouraged to eat meat sparingly.
