Jailbroken iPad is needed.

Jailbroken is compulsory?

Jailbreak is just hacking it. if you want to download games, themes, other applications on it then you'll jailbreak it. It s legal but Apple may void warranty. I won't force you to be jailbreaking download into iPhone, iPod, or iPad from Cydia hack. I have jailbroken iPhone because I need WiFi hotspot and Facetime over 3G hack apps.

I had jailbroken mine as well, but Cydia seemed to mess it up.. oh well, thank goodness for restore lol.

Btw, anyone know why I cannot play a video on my iTouch? Its Angels and Demons, and I got the Digital copy so it was free from iTunes to download... worked before.. but since I updated my software to 4.0 it won't work on the itouch.

New or old one is your iPod Touch?

Hi all,

I own an iPad, and iPhone applications, just like iPod touch applications, WILL work on non jail-broken phone.

Why would you need to jailbreak the iPhone? Means less money for apple.

No, that's incorrect.

Jailbroken iPhone can used for apps that aren't approved by Apple, especially tethering, video chatting over 3G, emulation, use of flashlight via iPhone camera light, command based apps, violent/porn games, apps, etc.

I own jailbroken iPhone because of need tethering and flashlight apps to use camera light.

Have you tried different video that you purchased from iTunes? If it does work with other videos then one of video that you mention maybe corrupted.

Jailbreak in order to get that flashlight app? Nonsense. I got mine through the app store.

Foxrac, I understand your point, but this is not what I meant.

I meant why would apple restrict NATIVE (normal) iPhone applications and iPhone touch applications from the iPad, making the need to jailbreak it? It would mean apple would lose money from iPad owners who wish to purchase iPhone and iPod touch apps for their iPad.

No, you don't understand what I was saying.

I used jailbroken version of flashlight to enable brighter camera LED light, not from iPhone display.

No, mate - my flaslight app uses the camera LED light, not the display.
