How common is your last name in America?

Looks like most of you got it wrong. "ranking" means the lower the number the more common your last name is. The higher the number the rarer your last name is. Smith is number one most common name in USA, so makes sense. My last name ranks at 1550, but very common in one country.

My maiden surname is number 77 in the USA

My married surname is number 21 in the USA

My two sister's married surnames don't exist in USA!!

My surname is of German origin. I came up 35,703. But I've been told it is not a common name in Germany, either.
 
My last name does not exist in this database.:| <My dad's last name.

My mother's last name is rank #2662.
 
the name might not appear if you have a space between your name


for example

XX XX XXXX,

should be XXXXXXXX it will appear trust me :)
 
- My surname ranked 10,701.
- My mother's maiden name doesn't exist, because it's not any of the top 55,000 most common surnames in the U.S.
- My paternal grandmother's maiden name ranked 8.
