Finlay is peeing BLOOD again!

whatdidyousay! :tears::aw: oh, I am very sorry to read too!! I know how hard a serious or difficult diagnosis can be! More :hug: for you. We've had to make THE DECISION also....very very hard-

Being a dog lover, I know it's so hard for you.....he's been a good dog and an excellent companion to you. You will meet Finlay "Over the Bridge" one day, he'll be waiting on you!
Give him lots of love and gentle pats, heart to heart talks w/him, and assure him that everything will be alright.....

My "Buffy" died of breast cancer and I was devastated. I carried her everywhere, to do her business, even to eat, and we did have "heart to heart" talks. I let her know that it was "alright" and not to worry about me. Her eyes were so sad whenever I rubbed her tummy...she would look at me as if to say she was sorry....
But she let me know the day that she was finally ready to leave. ....and she died on my sofa, the same spot that I always sat when watching TV...

Hopefully you will have more time with Finley!

That is terrible! I'm so sorry :( Just take good care of him, give him extra love, maybe some treats every once in a while. Recently the vet told us our dog might have a tumor in his eye, and we couldnt imagine being able to pay to have the eye removed. Luckily it's just scar tissue from being scratched by a cat.

And when our dog was diagnosed with diabetes, we thought she would pass quickly, because she also has other issues. She's getting pretty old, and my mom thinks she may have a year left, maybe a year and a half. It's hard to lose an animal, or to have something wrong with them, especially when they're your best friend.

I'm really sorry about Finaly. Just try to stay strong!

That's a really great idea about the cremation thing, too. I also heard (I don't know if you're interested or not), that you can take hair or ashes and have them turned into jewerly. I thought that was a cool idea.

I did hear about making jewelry from the ashes, but I want Finlay to be in the park he loved so much. I should bring him there one more time . I did buy Finlay some canned food dog and he love it! That is the hard part trying to stay strong when your best friend is dying.

I know what a horrible decision to have to made and you hope you're
making the right one! This what is killing me , I do not want my dear doggie to be in pain and at the same time I do not want him to go! I am so tore in what to do. I will have to see what the biopsy show, and go from there.
Thank you every one , you all been so kind and supported in this most difficult time. I better sign off and take care of my dog.

In our case, we'll know when it's time to let him go. Right now, he's still relatively stable, so, we're not doing it right now. But, he'll be gone before the year is over, I'm afraid. :(

You're in my thoughts....

I am sorry to hear you're going though this too. Yes ,it so sad to see your beloved dog in pain ,it hard for me as I live alone and Finlay is with me all the time! I felt so lost when I went shopping today , one of woman at check out asked about my dog. He is very popular in my small city, when I paid my taxes today I told the clerk about Finaly and she almost cried! She was not able to say anything. Finlay made everyone feel special , he love to leaned on you and give you a hug ! He been giving me a lot hugs the past weeks. I think he is trying to say goodbye to me!

I am so sorry. I know Finlay is still with you, but I would like to encourage you to apply for another hearing dog when he isn't anymore.

It is bad to be alone, and it is obvious how much Finlay means to you.

I am thinking of getting another hearing dog, but I will not use NEADS this time. I was told there a was place the use only shelters dog so they'll not be killed. I do not know the name of the agency . I like mutts , they're cute and they do not have all bad traits of pure breed dogs that are breed too close in bloodline.
Finlay can come home at 4:30 tonight!! He pulled through the biopsy ok,
I should get the result Friday, I hope! I was told I will not get the biopsy result until 7-10 days! when I asked over the phone I was told I would get it Friday! I am going to go nut waiting that long!

I was able to bring Finlay home after having the biopsy , he was not able to walk very good as he was still drugged up , but when he saw our car Finlay
starting pulling me! I am so gald I told the vet I wanted Finaly to come home and not stay over night! He would had been alone all night sick and scraed !

to be cremated too and my daughter is going to take our ashes and mix them
together and bring them to our favorite park , and throw our ashes out toward the river. Thank you everyone for all your support. I am going to go spend time with my dog.

I am still waiting to get the biopsy result back, if the tumor is cancer , I will have put my dog to sleep. I do not what to give him radiation therapy or have his kidney removed. I will not put him to sleep right away, my dog will let me know when the time come to say good bye. I will check colloidal-silver-for dogs. Thank you for the info. I have to go my dog need me!

Please don't mess with that collodial silver stuff. It's not effective, and could actually hurt more than help. If your sweet dog does have cancer, the best thing would be to let him/her go. I'm really am sorry. :(

Please stop advising people to use these supposed cures. Collodial silver can be toxic and isn't proven.

Thank you for warning me of the risk of using collodial silver for my dog.
I would never use something until I found out if it was safe for a very sick dog. He did not want to eat today, I tried everything to get Finlay to eat. He did not want his cookie when he told the phone ring! Finlay use to try and get a cookie when I made a phone call too! wise guy! I once was calling my daughter and Finlay was bugging me for a cookie and I did not give him one. My daughter did not answer her phone so I hung mine up ,and Finlay got really upset about not getting a cookie, so he started to push the phone around with his nose to make it ring and my daughter called me back just at the same time , it was so funny ! Finlay had look of surprise on his face, he thought he made the phone ring! and he got finally got his cookie!
