Face in the darkness...

Thanks. I don't write a lot. I need to be inspired, then the words flow. I feel a bit of inspiration right now...

Dancing together, And so it starts,
Rhythm provided by Beating Hearts.

Smiles fixed, Our eyes wide,
Love will take us for a ride.

Our lips part, breathing deep,
Dreams begun before we sleep.

Mouths embrace, tongues swirl,
Ground beneath us begins to twirl.

Bodies melt, Two become one,
The dance of Life has begun.

Private touches we begin to trade,
Rest of the world begins to fade.

I thank God for the ability to love,
My beautiful woman; a gift from above.
That was great! Midnightsun is right! I hope you're writing these down somewhere!! I love this poem!! I get reminded of my old poems a lot and this reminds me of one I'll send u now...

*********** "Whirlwind of Emotion"
*
*
A woman lost in a whirlwind of emotion
**** Wanting... Needing the touch of her man
Capacity for love as deep as the ocean
**** Waiting... Dying for the caress of his hand
*
Goosebumps and chills travel all across her skin
**** Longing... Pleading, "Stay with me a tonight?"*
Desire is gone for the hands of other men
**** Exhausted... Sleeping, they woke to morning light

These last few weeks have been a trial
But tonight I sleep with a smile.

We shared dreams, hopes, prayers and names
We dared to dream of future games.

My heart softened by a pair of eyes
That made my spirits soar to the skies.

A glimpse of paradise was offered to me
And I was thrilled that I could see.

How miles alone do not change love
When someone fits me like a glove.

Someday soon when our lips collide
And when our happy tears have dried.

We will pause to say Thank God
And He will bless us with a nod.

For all these things we do for Him
Were not just done on a whim.

But to ensure our lives together
Will tickle our worlds like a feather.

You are also talented with poetry. I am not as creative as everyone. I did study English lit in hs one of my fave clases lol. I didn't have skill to write poems.

I watched the snow begin to pile,
After an hour, I had to smile.

What was brown, is now white,
Children screaming with delight.

Scarves and boots and mittens on,
Footprints sprinkled on the lawn.

Men with blowers sending snow,
Not feeling cold at ten below.

Neighbors emerging from their caves,
Greeting each other with cheery waves.

Darkness comes, and kids return,
Hot cocoa cannot be gulped, they learn.

Stories told of snow angels at play,
And I am thankful for this day.

Children learned a simple rule,
Where there's snow, there is no school!

Saywhatkid what is your real name?

*"A blazing dream of beauty"
*
*
Blazing through time and space.
Peering through darkness at an angel's face.
My love stands before me in a dream.
Spirit lighting in a beam.

Beams, burning... streaming through mind.
Personification of womankind.
Essence of beauty and fairness.
Heightening my awareness.

Visions of passionate thrills.
Sending me goosebumps and chills.
Wishing this was real!
Wishing... wishing this was real!

Don't wake me unless you're really there.
Just let me dream...Let me stair.
Dreams dreaming...Dreaming of bliss and splendor.
Lost here in your love my heart surrendered.

Poe was an interesting person. I studied his works in college, and, frankly some of his works were downright scary.

Wasn't he mentally ill?
Idk if he was or not. Mental illness comes and goes in us all in the same way physical illness does. Maybe Poe wrote his stuff during a particularly shity point in his life.

Oh. I only asked cause I once met a deaf guy who wrote a lot of songs. You kinda reminded me of him.
But how does he write music? Or is it just the lyrics? I have a sense of a beat when I write, but do not follow it closely when I write here in a forum. I would be interested in knowing a few things about this man. Does he write musical notes? Is he LDA? Did he hear music at any time in his life? If you just met him at a party, I doubt you will know these things, but I need to ask.

I think he's been deaf his whole life. He doesn't write notes just lyrics. I only read a few of what he's written but it isn't much different than poetry. If you repeted one of the lines in your poetry a few times and called it a chorus you got a song. I have no idea what he's hearing in his head when he writes his "songs" but I don't understand it either. I've written a few songs but I write with my guitar. I know what you mean about writing poetry. Good poetry should have rhythm and slow aswell as words to make you think. I can feel a rhythm in your poetry.
