No, I wasn't misinformed, remember I said my dad works with one of carrier and had work with other carriers as well, including supervisor position. Also my friend had to quit FedEx because they refused to raise over 10 dollars an hour even after 2 years with them. I do not want to mention which carrier my dad currently works for and he is now the driver. He hates supervisor position and quit after being called by police to verify the identity of employee who was shot while on duty. My dad actually saw the messy blood all over. Diguesting!

Where you were at MIGHT be good branch. Do NOT expect EVERY branches to be as good as yours.
Again, no I wasn't misinformed... I have SEEN damages and HEARD stories from my friends who actually WORK THERE!

DHB, I think you're a little misinformed. UPS is one of the best possible companies to work for. They're wages start at $8.50, not $7.50, and they have an outstanding benefits package, and generous yearly wages. The turnover rate is actually below average. When I worked as a supervisor, we were expected to focus on retention and we were held responsible for employees that quit or were fired. The Teamsters labor union is one of the best labor unions when it comes to employee interests and protection. There were tenured employees there whom worked for me that made much more than I did. I've heard Fed Ex is along the same lines. I know their wages start at $10.50 and they offer a slightly less attractive benefits package. I've also been told they do not have a labor union. But to say these employees are paid low wages is ridiculous. Its not the most glamerous job, but there were people there who easily made a living off of it, and even a carreer. Not to even mention that UPS's college tuition reimbursement program is very good, too.

I like UPS for personal use and FedEx service at work becuz I have no problem with them AND they have good looking pick-up and drop-off guys in uniforms with shorts! :naughty:

I know you gonna act like this  at me for being silly

I can't believe!!! :eek2: I ordered some cookies from MaunaLoa.com and ordered a sign language vhs tape from Amazon.com on Monday Nov. 21.
And my stuff were delivered today Friday, Nov. 25. OMG!!!
DHL, what is that? DHL is some delivery service I have never heard of...
came by my house this morning and dropped off my cookies from MaunaLoa.com
And USPS dropped off the vhs tape from Amazon.com, around noon.
4 days delivery... wow. I didn't even pay for speedy delivery, only slow mail... that was quick what they do.... :eek2:

I got good answer! Its the power of competition! What your seeing is true capitalism world! These business are doing to try to steal business from other business. That is how consumers wins. You won't be seeing like this in socialism, or communism. So, thanks the America for the freedom of enterprise.

I agree with you biker. This morning I was going call MaunaLoa.com... to track down my package... but MaunaLoa.com closed because of the holiday.
And I went in Amazon.com and signed in.... tracking my package...
and it didn't give me any information. I was feeling so depressed
because I thought UPS and FED Ex were careless.
I was pouting on a chair, my mom alerted me that DHL was at the door.
I passed by the window and I saw DHL yellow van... I was confused.
And I saw my mom pointing at the package, I smiled. :) It really made my day. Then while I was fixing myself some lunch (leftover turkey), my mom
brought in a package from Amazon. I was like OMG, that came too.
I was getting paranoid :dizzy: ... and I smiled. :)

Now you can see why they can't be too careful on fragile package. They wanted this package to arrive at destination faster than any of other competitiors in order to win more business. How can you be too careful if you have to move stuff fast? This is pretty much routine. :) So again, that is why I point out the importance of adding insurance and properly packing the package as well.
