I don't like what John Kerry's way. It seem that he keep change his mind alot.

And it's impossible to undo with Iraq war. I don't think Kerry will handle that.

John Kerry claim said that he was solider hero in Vietnam in campigan.

"Solider hero doesn't make a better president of US" - JFK

EAT THIS!

http://www.johnkerry.com/about/military_records.html

Where the hell was DUMBYA during the Vietnam War? ...Out in Alabama killing 20 bottles of Jack Daniels?!

At least Kerry volunteered to go to Vietnam and RISKED his life to save his fellow soldiers there.

Bush is nothin' but a CHICKENHAWK!

Remember I don't care much about politics myself,
but I just got a very interesting e-mail from
someone else with the Subject "Amazing Facts"....

It is amazing how the facts are unimportant to so many, and
how soon they forget! (read through to the bottom!)

"One way or the other, we are determined to deny Iraq the capacity to develop weapons of mass destruction and the missiles to deliver them.
That is our bottom line." - President Clinton, Feb. 4, 1998

"If Saddam rejects peace and we have to use force, our purpose is clear.
We want to seriously diminish the threat posed by Iraq's weapons of mass destruction program." - President Clinton, Feb. 17, 1998

Iraq is a long way from [here], but what happens there matters a great deal here. For the risks that the leaders of a rogue state will use nuclear, chemical or biological weapons against us or our allies is the greatest security threat we face." - Madeline Albright, Feb 18, 1998

"He will use those weapons of mass destruction again, as he has ten time since 1983." - Sandy Berger, Clinton National Security Adviser, Feb, 18,1998

"[W]e urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions (including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites) to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs." - Letter to President Clinton, signed by Sens. Carl Levin (D-MI), Tom Daschle (D-SD), John Kerry( D - MA), and others Oct. 9,1998

"Saddam Hussein has been engaged in the development of weapons of mass destruction technology which is a threat to countries in the region and he has made a mockery of the weapons inspection process." - Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D, CA), Dec. 16, 1998

"Hussein has ... chosen to spend his money on building weapons of mass destruction and palaces for his cronies." >- Madeline Albright, Clinton Secretary of State, Nov. 10, 1999

"There is no doubt that ... Saddam Hussein has invigorated his weapons programs. Reports indicate that biological, chemical and nuclear programs continue apace and may be back to pre-Gulf War status. In addition, Saddam continues to redefine delivery systems and is doubtless using the cover of a licit missile program to develop longer-range missiles that will threaten the United States and our allies." - Letter to President Bush, Signed by Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL,) and others, December 5, 2001

"We begin with the common belief that Saddam Hussein is a tyrant and threat to the peace and stability of the region. He has ignored the mandated of the United Nations and is building weapons of mass destruction and the means of delivering them." - Sen. Carl Levin (D, MI), Sept. 19, 2002

"We know that he has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"Iraq's search for weapons of mass destruction has proven impossible to deter and we should assume that it will continue for as long as Saddam is in power." - Al Gore, Sept. 23, 2002

"We have known for many years that Saddam Hussein is seeking and developing weapons of mass destruction." - Sen. Ted Kennedy (D, MA), Sept. 27, 2002

"The last UN weapons inspectors left Iraq in October of 1998. We are confident that Saddam Hussein retains some stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and that he has since embarked on a crash course to build up his chemical and biological warfare capabilities. Intelligence reports indicate that he is seeking nuclear weapons..." - Sen. Robert Byrd (D, WV), Oct. 3, 2002

"I will be voting to give the President of the United States the authority to use force-- if necessary-- to disarm Saddam Hussein because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security." - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Oct. 9,2002

"There is unmistakable evidence that Saddam Hussein is working aggressively to develop nuclear weapons and will likely have nuclear weapons within the next five years ... We also should remember we have always underestimated the progress Saddam has made in development of weapons of mass destruction."- Sen. Jay Rockefeller (D, WV), Oct 10, 2002

"He has systematically violated, over the course of the past 11 years, every significant UN resolution that has demanded that he disarm and destroy his chemical and biological weapons, and any nuclear capacity. This he has refused to do" - Rep. Henry Waxman (D, CA), Oct. 10, 2002

"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability, and his nuclear program. He has also given aid, comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists, including al Qaeda members.. It is clear, however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare, and will keep trying to develop nuclear weapons." - Sen. Hillary Clinton (D, NY), Oct 10, 2002

"We are in possession of what I think to be compelling evidence that Saddam Hussein has, and has had for a number of years, a developing capacity for the production and storage of weapons of mass destruction." - Sen. Bob Graham (D, FL), Dec. 8, 2002

"Without question, we need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime ... He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so consistently prone to miscalculation ... And now he is miscalculating America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction ... So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real" - Sen. John F. Kerry (D, MA), Jan. 23. 2003

SO NOW EVERY ONE OF THESE SAME DEMOCRATS SAY PRESIDENT BUSH LIED--THAT THERE NEVER WERE ANY WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND HE TOOK US TO WAR UNNECESSARILY!

Send this to everybody you know..
The media and networks won't do it.
Why do you suppose that is?

All fair in love and war in response to the "all-Saddam quotes"....All the quotes in last post above were centering on Saddam and WMDS....oh gawd

These are quotes straight from the elephant's trunk on different subjects......

Now here are the quotes that makes me feel totally sick to the stomach especially Dumbya's OWN mother:

“I’m a firm believer in feeding people their own words back to them, when it’s appropriate.” – Trent Lott (R-MS)

As we hurtle headlong into the silly season, a high colonic for the mind is in order. Feast on the foreshadowing surrounding ‘despotism’ in the first item below…and then feast further on the rest:

“Victory means exit strategy, and it’s important for the President to explain to us what the exit strategy is.”

- George W. Bush, discussing Kosovo, Houston Chronicle, 04-09-99

“I said on my program, if, if the Americans go in and overthrow Saddam Hussein and it’s clean, he has nothing, I will apologize to the nation, and I will not trust the Bush administration again.”

- Bill O’Reilley, on ABC’s Good Morning America, 03-18-03

“I tell people don’t kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus – living fossils – so we will never forget what these people stood for.”

- Rush Limbaugh, Denver Post, 12-29-95

“If the Supreme Court says that you have the right to consensual gay sex within your home, then you have the right to bigamy, you have the right to polygamy, you have the right to incest, you have the right to adultery. You have the right to anything. All of those things are antithetical to a healthy, stable, traditional family and that’s sort of where we are in today’s world, unfortunately. It all comes from, I would argue, the right to privacy that doesn’t exist, in my opinion, in the United States Constitution.”

- Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA), Associated Press, 04-22-03

“I would warn Orlando that you’re right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don’t think I’d be waving those flags in God’s face if I were you. This is not a message of hate; this is a message of redemption. But a condition like this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It’ll bring about terrorist bombs; it’ll bring earthquakes, tornadoes and possibly a meteor.”

- Pat Robertson, speaking of organizers putting rainbow flags up around Orlando to support sexual diversity, Washington Post, 06-10-98. For the record, Orlando remains undestroyed by meteors.

“The problem with the French is that they don’t have a word for ‘entrepreneur.’”

- George W. Bush, to Tony Blair, Vanity Fair p. 226, 07-10-02

“Environmentalists are a socialist group of individuals that are the tool of the Democrat Party. I’m proud to say that they are my enemy. They are not Americans, never have been Americans, never will be Americans.”

- Rep. Don Young (R-AK), Alaska Public Radio, 08-19-96

“When you strip it all away, Jerry Garcia destroyed his life on drugs. And yet he’s being honored, like some godlike figure. Our priorities are out of whack, folks.”

- Rush (currently under investigation for drug use) Limbaugh, on the death of Jerry Garcia, 08-20-95.

“I don’t understand how poor people think.”

- George W. Bush, confiding in the Rev. Jim Wallis, New York Times, 08-26-03

“Get rid of the guy. Impeach him, censure him, assassinate him.”

- Rep. James Hansen (R-UT), talking about President Clinton, as reported by journalist Steve Miner of KSUB radio who overheard his conversation, 11-01-98

“We’re going to keep building the party until we’re hunting Democrats with dogs.”

- Senator Phil Gramm (R-TX), Mother Jones, 08-95

“My only regret with Timothy McVeigh is he did not go to the New York Times building.”

- Ann Coulter, New York Observer, 08-26-02

“Homosexuals want to come into churches and disrupt church services and throw blood all around and try to give people AIDS and spit in the face of ministers.”

- Pat Robertson again, The 700 Club, 01-18-95

“And there is, I am certain, among the Iraqi people a respect for the care and the precision that went into the bombing campaign.”

- Donald Rumsfeld, defenselink.mil, 04-09-03

“Emotional appeals about working families trying to get by on $4.25 an hour are hard to resist. Fortunately, such families do not exist.”

- Rep. Tom DeLay (R-TX), House Majority Whip, during a debate on increasing the minimum wage, Congressional Record, H3706, 04-23-96

“Chelsea is a Clinton. She bears the taint; and though not prosecutable in law, in custom and nature the taint cannot be ignored. All the great despotisms of the past – I’m not arguing for despotism as a principle, but they sure knew how to deal with potential trouble – recognized that the families of objectionable citizens were a continuing threat. In Stalin’s penal code it was a crime to be the wife or child of an ‘enemy of the people.’ The Nazis used the same principle, which they called Sippenhaft, ‘clan liability.’ In Imperial China, enemies of the state were punished ‘to the ninth degree’: that is, everyone in the offender’s own generation would be killed and everyone related via four generations up, to the great-great-grandparents, and four generations down, to the great-great-grandchildren, would also be killed.”

- John Derbyshire, National Review, 02-15-01

“Probably nothing.”

- Jeb Bush, after losing his 1994 bid for Florida Governor, when asked what he would have done for black people if he had won, quoted by Salon on 10-05-02

“The homosexual blitzkrieg has been better planned and executed than Hitler’s.”

- Rep. William Dannemeyer (R-CA), The New Republic, 08-01-94

“When lawlessness is abroad in the land, the same thing will happen here that happened in Nazi Germany. Many of those people involved in Adolph Hitler were Satanists. Many of them were homosexuals. The two things seem to go together.”

- Pat Robertson again, The 700 Club, 01-21-93

“Why is this man in the White House? The majority of Americans did not vote for him. Why is he there? And I tell you this morning that he’s in the White House because God put him there for a time such as this.”

- Lt. General William G. Boykin, Deputy Undersecretary of Defense, New York Times, 10-17-03

“We need to execute people like John Walker in order to physically intimidate liberals, by making them realize that they can be killed, too. Otherwise, they will turn out to be outright traitors.”

- Ann Coulter, at the Conservative Political Action Conference, 02-26-02

“I don’t want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.”

- Grover Norquist, President of Americans for Tax Reform, NPR Morning Edition, 05-25-01

“I don’t agree that you need an enormous number of American troops. Saddam’s army is down to one-third than it was before, and I think it would be a cakewalk.”

- Kenneth Adelman, Defense Policy Board, to Wolf Blitzer on CNN, 12-06-01

“The fact of the matter is that this (increased American casualties) is a sign of the success of our operation, not its failure.”

- Ralph Reed, GOP strategist, on MSNBC’s program ‘Hardball,’ 10-28-03

“There are some who feel that, you know, the conditions are such that they can attack us there. My answer is, bring ‘em on. We have the force necessary to deal with the situation.”

- George W. Bush, Chicago Tribune, 07-03-03

“The truth is that for reasons that have a lot to do with the U.S. government bureaucracy, we settled on the one issue that everyone could agree on, which was weapons of mass destruction as the core reason.”

- Paul Wolfowitz, quoted by Tim Russert on ‘Meet The Press, NBC, 06-01-03

“Quit looking at the symbols. Get out and get a job. Quit shooting each other. Quit having illegitimate babies.”

- State Rep. John Graham Altman (R-SC), addressing African-American concerns about they ‘symbol’ of the Confederate Flag, New York Times, 01-24-97

“Two things made this country great: White men & Christianity. The degree these two have diminished is in direct proportion to the corruption and fall of the nation. Every problem that has arisen (sic) can be directly traced back to our departure from God’s Law and the disenfranchisement of White men.”

- State Rep. Don Davis (R-NC), emailed to every member of the North Carolina House and Senate, reported by the Fayetteville Observer, 08-22-01

“NOW is saying that in order to be a woman, you’ve got to be a lesbian.”

- Pat Robertson again, The 700 Club, 12-03-97

“My biggest fear is going to be going to the funeral of some young Iowa man or woman who dies in this conflict and having their mother or father come up to me and ask whether or not their son or daughter died for America, or died to save Bill Clinton’s presidency. I don’t know what I would say to those grieving parents. For that reason I believe the President must resign immediately.”

- Rep. Jim Nussle (R-IA), Congressional Record, H11963, 12-18-98

“Why should we hear about body bags and deaths and how many, what day it’s gonna happen? It’s not relevant. So why should I waste my beautiful mind on something like that?”
- Barbara Bush, said on ‘Good Morning America’ the day before the Iraq war started, New York Times, 01-13-03

“I’m the commander – see, I don’t need to explain – I don’t need to explain why I say things. That’s the interesting thing about being the President. Maybe somebody needs to explain to me why they say something, but I don’t feel like I owe anybody an explanation.”

- George W. Bush, Washington Post, 11-19-02

Ugh looks like we're going off topic a bit ......

I got this in my email.. Very interesting!

HISTORY ON BILL CLINTON'S WATCH

This is worth a few minutes of thought no matter which "side" you are on.

You know, it is easy to forget the 'promises' that Bill and Hillary made while in office. It strikes home when it is listed like this.

After the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six and injured 1000; President Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 1995 bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed five U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished..

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia, which killed 19 and injured 2! 00 U.S. military personnel; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 1998 bombing of U.S. embassies in Africa, which killed 224 and injured 5,000; Clinton promised that those responsible! would be hunted down and punished.

BUSH COVERED IT!

After the 2000 bombing of the USS Cole, which killed 17 and injured 39 U.S sailors; Clinton promised that those responsible would be hunted down and punishes.

BUSH COVERED IT!

Maybe if Clinton had kept his promise, an estimated 3,000 people in New York and Washington, D.C. that are now dead would be alive today.

BUSH TOLD THOSE FIREMAN -- THEY WOULD HEAR US TOO!

And, now that Bush is taking action to bring these people to justice, we have opponents charging him with being a war monger..

AN INTERESTING QUESTION: This question was raised on a Philly radio call-in show. Without casting stones, it is a legitimate question .

There are two men, both extremely wealthy. One develops relatively cheap software and gives billions of dollars to charity. The other sponsors terrorism. That being the case, why was it that the Clinton administration spent more money chasing down Bill Gates over the past eight years than Osama bin Laden?

THINK ABOUT IT!

It is a strange turn of events. Hillary gets $8 Million for her forthcoming memoir. Bill gets about $12 Million for his memoir yet to be written.

This from two people who have spent the past 8 years being unable to recall anything about past events while under oath! Remember some missing billing records were found in her home, and she did not know how they got there!

Sincerely, Cmdr Hamilton McWhorter USN(retired)

Just avoid a repeat of the 2000 election :D

I do agree with many people that there are many dubious things that Bush did. In fact, many skeptics claim worldwide security may be worse now (on average) than before 9/11, based on the fact that Bush "shook" the hive of hornets. Even several good countries now resent Bush for what they claim he did. Of course, there are many counterarguments. I'm just saying the simple fact that there's a lot of division here, from many countries.

I do agree too, however, that Kerry is kind of "iffy" as well. Nobody's perfect.

Then again, I'm in Canada (so please feel free to ignore my opinion :D)

What is really going on in Iraq

Sent: Wednesday, April 14, 2004 12:20 PM
Subject: Denison, Iowa - Soldier's Iraq Report

As I head off to Baghdad for the final weeks
of my stay in Iraq, I wanted to say thanks to
all of you who did not believe the media.
They have done a very poor job of covering
everything that has happened in Iraq.

Much that is happening in Iraq is noteworthy:

Over 4.5 million people have clean drinking water
for the first time ever in Iraq.
Over 400,000 kids have up to date immunizations.
100% of the hospitals are open and fully staffed
compared to 35% before the war.
Sewer and water lines are installed in every major city.
Students are taught field sanitation and
hand washing techniques to
prevent the spread of germs.

Over 1500 schools have been renovated and
rid of the weapons that were stored there
so education can occur.
School attendance is up 80% from levels
before the war.
Girls are allowed to attend school for the
first time ever in Iraq.
Text books that don't mention
Saddam are in the schools
for the first time in 30 years.

The port of Uhm Qasar was renovated so
grain can be off loaded from ships faster.
The country had its first 2 billion barrel
export of oil in August.
The country now receives 2 times the
electrical power it did before the war.
Over 400,000 people have telephones
for the first time ever.

Elections are taking place in
every major city and city councils
are in place.
An interim constitution has been signed.

Over 60,000 police are patrolling the streets.
Over 100,000 Iraqi civil defense police are
securing the country.
Over 80,000 Iraqi soldiers are patrolling the
streets side by side with US soldiers.

Don't believe for one-second that these people
do not want us there. I have met many,
many people from Iraq that want us there and
in a bad way. They say they will never see the
freedoms we talk about but they
hope their children will.

We are doing a good job in Iraq and
I challenge anyone, anywhere to
dispute me on these facts.
So if you happen to run into John Kerry,
be sure to give him my email address and
send him to Denison, Iowa.
This soldier will set him straight.

Please e-mail this to a friend and let them know
there are good things happening in Iraq.

Ray Reynolds, SFC
Iowa Army National Guard
234th Signal Battalion

I don't like either one of them very much...

...but I'd vote for Kerry because that's one less for Bush. :)

Whooo! flame war! =)
I would like to make a suggestion. If you are going to use text from somewhere else, LINK to it.
Reposting stuff can actually be copyright infringement. It simply is sticky to have such things reposted. Besides, its a pain to read such long things. And no fun to have an argument that isn't of people's OWN words and opinions.

I think its important that people listen to each other, if not necessarily agreeing. American politics is pretty polarized these days, and that doesn't help us actively provide solutions to problems.
Both democrats and republicans have problems. Being able to see the problems on both sides, and criticize them, is the mark of a true patriot.

Fate....

:rl: I have been reading political issues carefully including my research work…as you knew this Bush versus Kerry war have outraged the nation. I knew some of you already determined to choose Bush “chimp” or Kerry.

I just wanted to input few thoughts…I think President Bush isn’t doing much enough effort, why I was reading CNN.com and discovered this during his term as President, 3.9 millions of people have lost job as it is worse record since President Hoover. I am deadly serious, it was told via CNN.com. Bush already broke Americans’ trustworthy, he was too busy FOCUS on Iraq, I keep getting react from people saying what’s point of war upon Iraq. I frankly agree with them…but Iraq really needs to remove insane man, Saddam Hussein from his reign as this job was achieved. But keep seeing more war at Iraq is meaningless. The cost was wasted on war itself, where is real perspective and focus on improving the America’s financial & security. Also there’s very interesting information from CNN.com: “Bush is the first president since the 1930s not to address the NAACP, though he did so as a candidate in 2000.” Image this…you can check it at http://www.cnn.com/2004/ALLPOLITICS/07/12/naacp.bush/index.html .

Don’t think I am favoring and call to vote for Kerry because of flaws by Bush…the point is you need to see the what will make your decision to vote for best of America. John Kerry but I heard there are heavy rumors this he would make gas tax fatter and also said he vote against 87 billion dollars in funding for US Soldiers. There’s also some fact being carry quoted by some people said Kerry keep changing his goals what if he was President. And Kerry also said he would ban abortion (I don’t favor abortion anyway). I just want to summary it. There are too much between Kerry and Bush perspective.

I bet you have read and heard chilling and shock story about Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11. A lot of my friends urged me watch it, I prefer wait until it come in CC on DVD or whatever. Based on my research about this movie, 2 simple answers about this movie…Michael Moore wanted to anger people about President Bush’s flaws in order to dethrone him from Oval Office by seeking new leadership. Second, he just knew this George Bush’s time is running out so he wanted people to make see what Kerry have in store for future of America, so urging to vote for someone else better than George “Chimp” Bush.

One more thing just to help yourself to get some real good laugh check it out www.bushorchimp.com

We do not have much choice do we? it's either Kerry or Bush... Bush gave me nothing but bad headaches so he is off my list.. so I guess Kerry is on my List still...do I have another Choice? No.

:gossip: Nation await fate on Bush or Kerry....I knew Bush was trying everything harder to cover up his mistake for what he doing...and even Laura Bush, his wife blah said nobody knew him than her for 30 years....she maybe is right but but but but being in political is full of bullcraps....George Bush just wanted damn oval office and lit up cigar and lift up his legs and gloating at people....let it screw up....u can check laura bush's comment on her husband at: http://www.georgebush.com/Chat/Transcript.aspx?ID=18
