Brag about your car's miles!

Damn over 400,000 miles? That's the most I've ever heard of:eek3:

yes first one -72 360 cid had heads that blown then we got a 73 Ford 360 with maybe 40 k miles in 1980 and put in it and lasted us over 400,000 miles was used as my family owned Septic Tank Service for years

Still not bad for a rebuilt engine!

My car is 7 years old and the km is very low - 16,000 (kilometers) which mean it is about 40,000 mileage. I was told it is unnecessary to sell my car because of it.

My husband's is under 100 km, yes it is brand new 4 weeks ago and he hardly drive it bec of our holiday oversea recently, but I am sure he will catch it up :)

i recently lost my 97 ford F250 with a 351 cid gas engine due to a blown head gasket. that baby hit over 380,000 miles on the orginal motor (never rebuilt) surprising because i sent that truck through hell and back lol
best damn truck i ve ever owned and im proud of it

How about the mileage updates? My 1993 Explorer now has 246K on the clock and might need to check brakes soon :smash:

1997 Explorer 116K still purrs like a kitten :) I'll post picture of the mileage when I can

Nothing to brag about but here goes...my 2003 Santa Fe has a little over 70K miles. Is that too much or just right?

I think your just right because my car is 2003 nissan sentra and it is about 95k miles :eek3: so thats TOO much for me hehe...of course I travel a lot!

Lol, I have put about 15,000 miles on the 2000 Honda Civic EX in only 7 months. I got it with only 39,907 miles on it and now it has 54,200 miles. I'll be putting even more miles once I start with my new job since it will be a 35 mile commute one way. At least the job will pay me pretty good.

We will move closer to my work in a few months, though.

update on the 2K1 ZX2 Escort:

It now has 140k on the clock and still running strong on most original parts except for 2 alternators, oil changes, filters and tires.

Gone shopping for a SUV this month as I gotta haul a huge heavy power wheelchair and it wont fit in the ZX2's trunk. However I'm still planning on keeping the ZX2 for emergency backup in case the SUV breaks down on me.

Most likely I will end up buying one with over 100k on the clock for the price I set on the budget.

My '91 Mazda 121 has over 265, 000 km (159, 000 miles). Still runs sweet and burns no oil. Maintenance is kept regular. Best car we ever had. Wouldn't be surprised if we got another 100 out of it.

Our '93 Ford Fairmont has done 300, 000 kms (180, 000 miles). Motor and running gear is fine, but the rest of the car is a heap of s**t. Third and last Ford I'll ever own. Our mortgage is from keeping the damn thing on the road.

Update

Ah been a while since I read this thread so why not update the miles?

Well, my 1993 Explorer will soon hit 253K on the clock - just had tune up, and preventive maintained recently last month. Engine and Tranny still original since new and it might go to 300K within a couple of years. I use this truck as work truck commuting to UPS.

I don't drive other truck much it has 118K on it.

So what's your update on your car miles? ;)

My 2000 Honda Civic has 62k miles on it, I bought it with only almost 40k miles about 1 year and 2 months ago. I commute 25 miles round trip commuting to work. I used to commute 60 miles round trip before. ;) It runs good, also.

My friend has a 2001 VW Passat 1.8 Turbo. It has 112,000 miles on it and it runs good, tho the timing belt broke and the valvetrain got damaged but the cylinder block and the piston and all that stuff is still good so it valvetrain replaced and rebuilt everything for only $750 instead of few thousands for a new one. It had around 90k miles when it happened, it was his fault because it should have been replaced at 60k miles. He bought the car with 51,000 miles about 2 years ago.

someone metioned that carburted engine cant go more than 100,000 k MIles thats bs my own grandpas 1973 Bonneville 4 door with 400 cid block lasted him and granny approx 360,000 before it went to a boneyard in louisana... NEVER rebuilt and my grandpa always have the oil changed every 2,500 miles tranny cleaned every 7,500 miles instead of 10,000 miles then got a 79 Bonneville with 350 cid buick motor lasted them approx 180,000 before selling to a cuz... they had old roschster quadjet carbs

My 1998 Jeep Cherokee "Midnight" has almost 99K on it (I will double check it later). It runs great!! I am sure it'll keep going till 300K. We'll see! :giggle:

Hey Casperman, yes you are right about Roschster Q-jet carburetors I love em, these carbs was best ever the factory ever built, also it are very easy rebuiltable carb, and much cheap and easy find rebuilt kits it usually run about 40 bucks for the rebuilt kit for Roschster carburetors, my dad have 1972 Chevy C-10 short bed 350 with that roschster Q-jet 4 barrel carb it got him over 200k miles I have 1966 Chevy Mabilu 283 with roschster q-jet 2 barrels it always starts at first crank it got over 160k miles on it still run it give me good 20 to 22 mpg compared to new full sized trucks haha I loved Roschster and Holley carbs
