12 years!!!

Hello.

Just wondering if 12 years is too old?

I am 18 years old and this man he is 30, he has just told me he likes me

Nope, age or 15 years apart does not matter. Just follow to the heart, love and confience of attractive, sex, etc. One lady I dated was 21 and I was 37...but we did not work out well because she just did not want to look for the heart so I said okay and let's be friends!

it would be different if you were 25 and the guy 37 though. The maturity wouldn't be that far apart then.
Ditto! You change so much in your early twenties that even kids who were dating heavily in college have broken up.

I have only seen one couple with a similar age gap that worked out, that being the Dr's Lovett at TTU. They now celebrate, I think, 20 years together.

I think being 18 is a pretty young to have a relationship with a 30 years old man. It sure does have a big gap in the age bracket. It would be better if you find a nice young man of almost around your age whether older or younger like a few years younger or few years older than you. I am married to my husband who is four years younger than me and we have been married for eleven years. I would not want to marry someone who is way over the hill or way younger than me so I can be comfortable in the relationship around my age. Like some few ADers said that just follow your heart and see if you and your new found guy have a click to start the fireworks which mean love, I think. Loves come in different ways to express love. If you don't want him, then don't go out with him. Just be happy being single until you feel ready.

I think an 18 year old is better off in their group to get better experience and learn mistakes from their own relationship. A 30 year old usually better off with someone generally experienced in relationship, depending on their history as well. I wouldn't date an 18 year old because of their socialism and maturity issues.
