List of Streaming Services with CC/Subtitles [Netflix, AppleTV, Vudu, Amazon, etc]

Amazon on Apple TV ever? I see that Apple added Netflix to their Apple TV box...why not Amazon Video?

List of Streaming Services with CC/Subtitles [Netflix, AppleTV, Vudu, Amazon, etc]

Glad to see that the text is better on Apple TV. I will look into it tonight!

List of Streaming Services with CC/Subtitles [Netflix, AppleTV, Vudu, Amazon, etc]

Does anyone with an Apple TV device use Netflix on it with subtitles/captions? If so, how easy/hard is it to read the subtitles/captions? I tried Netflix on a Roku2 player a couple of months ago and it uses yellow text with no contrast background. I ended up getting headaches from trying to...

Obama signs 21st Century Comm & Video Access Act

Timeline appears to be April 2012 The link below, in the "summary" section, says: "• By April 2012, the phase-in of the requirement that broadcast television programming containing closed captions include those captions when being delivered via Internet Protocol (including on stations'...

Thanks for the timely post! I just ordered one...the customer support person who answered my call told me I was lucky because the price was going up tomorrow. Whew! :thumb:

    26 charged in VRS fraud

It always amazes me how people think they can get away with it...the Government is very audit-oriented, and will catch fraud, waste and/or abuse eventually in most cases.

    Purple Netbook unleashed

Cannot purchase Netbook for advertised $199 I received a promotional email a few weeks ago from HOVRS offering the purple netbook for $199 when using the provided code. When I signed into my purple account, there was no place to put the promotional code in, which resulted in the final price...

    Any ATT Bold Users ?

I just surprised myself by trying a recent signmail from sorenson on my Bold and it worked!!! I was having email problems yesterday on the Bold and that may have had something to do with it, but now I'm very happy about being able to check signmails via BBY Bold!

    Any ATT Bold Users ?

I've been using the BBY Bold now for a day. It's a nice smartphone, but I was disappointed to find out it won't play any of my SVRS signmails! I thought it supported .wmv file format.

    Any ATT Bold Users ?

My wife and I are getting our BBY Bolds this coming Wed, 3 June. Cannot wait to try them out!

Should I choose iPhone over other phones?

It's confusing, I agree, but Harris Communications uses a reseller website to make wireless phone offers to its customers. You can see BBY Bold is the 4th phone down on the list. To avoid subscribing to a voice plan, you have to click on "individual plans" on left side to select the BBY data...

Should I choose iPhone over other phones?

I had the same debate: iPhone vs. BB Curve vs. BB Bold. Bold won because of larger keyboard over Curve, and I didn't care for the touchscreen type of keyboard on the iPhone. In addition, the Curve is not 3G enabled, which is astounding considering that 3G is now the de-facto standard (except...

What is the difference between the Bold and the Curve 8900?

    About Iphone*

How well does the "vibrate" on the iPhone work? My wife and I have sprint blackberrys and our 2-yr contract with Sprint has expired, so I'm looking into either the ATT iPhone or the T-mobile blackberry curve 8900. Sprint's pricing is great, but I'm tired of waiting for them to bring on board...

    VRS in competition!

There are pros and cons to both options. If you own the equipment, you may or may not get the expected level of customer support, and the warranties may have limiting provisions that reduce the value of owning your own equipment. The cost of equipment may deter folks from buying specific...

    VRS in competition!

After all these years, it's about time!!! Thanks to Sorenson's and SnapVRS's willingness to invest in videophone technologies, the other companies have realized that if they want to stay in the game, they must also make similiar investmetns. The difference is that CSDVRS and Viable both want...

    Webcams

I applied for and got the Microsoft VX webcam from i711, and my wife and I were blown away by the CLEAR picture of the interpreter on my computer....I'm not a Microsoft fanboy, but it put Logitech's 4000/5000 webcam to shame. We are very impressed with i711's quality of service.

I don't like my BB 8703e that much

It probably would be more effective to compare the 8703e to something you think is quicker and more responsive. That being said, I agree that the 8703e has its faults, but also strengths. In comparison, my old Verizon 7250 was huge, but the buttons were comfortable to use. The 7250 also...

    SnapVRS and Ojo VP

You can call them by using a webcam or any other H.323-enabled video device. However, I did notice that when I called my VP-200 from my Ojo, the video quality on the VP-200 was quite bad while the video quality on the Ojo was good. This is probably because the VP-200 uses H.263 video codec...

    SnapVRS and Ojo VP

If true, that would explain his die-hard rhetoric against SnapVRS's Ojo.
