I'm not a freshmen and my VR said he can pay for off-campus as long they accept it.

Attending to Gallaudet, where to live?

Hey all, I'm recently accepted and looking forward to attend to Gallaudet this fall. Wondering anyone know where or recommend where I should live with two pet rabbits? I do prefer to live alone due to rabbits and I've been having difficulty deciding where to live, seeing that off campus is...

    Anyone living at RIT?

RIT has a site where you 'meet' them online and search for the roommates. If you don't find one, you won't get the rooms/dorms specific you're looking for and get matched. They have bunch of apartments/dorms that is on campus, I'm leaning towards an apartment due to experiences. I've...

    Anyone living at RIT?

Doesn't it cost to advertise? Is there a link that I can do that? I'm nearly 2 hours away from the campus.

    Anyone living at RIT?

I'm feeling quite discourage on trying to find a roommate on their house connection with RIT. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, coming on too strong, or how I'm repelling others without realizing it. I'm trying to be friendly as I am, contacting others, and letting them know about me that seems...

    RIT experiences anyone?

Good thing my first year of college does well for me, so I will make sure I balance study and fun! Thank you for a reminder that part. As for a career wise, I do plan to be ASL teacher - foreign language- and hoping it wouldn't be much difficulty. It seems that people don't even realize I'm...

    I Don't Understand.. :C

I understand exactly where you are coming from. My mom has immediately put me into school, just so I could speak. She did not want me to learn signing immediately. For years, I struggled to her expectation and only recently have explained to her for the past three years more personally. From...

    RIT experiences anyone?

I wanted to inform you all that I have been accepted! :) If anything, I thank you for believing I would be likely to get in! ^_^ This is completely different than I expect it. Anyone has any advice living at the dorm? Aside from fire alarm situation because that is impossible to avoid. I do...

    Speech Regression?

You aren't alone. However, I'm deaf myself. I had been in speech ever since I was into a school so young - around 2 at the most. I had to go to speech twice a day and it drove me crazy. At most point, you are correct, we NYers tend to speak fast because no one wants time to be wasted! (lol, if...

    RIT experiences anyone?

I know what it is like with the fire alarms, random times happened. I remember the worst day ever. Some idiot decided to play fire and somehow, it caused so much flood that there were six suites/dorm rooms to be damaged and I happened to be one of those victims. However, it wasn't severe as the...

    RIT experiences anyone?

Ah, now I know which ones. I've been in a couple of dorms, not all of them. So, I have a general idea which one you are talking about. It's the one that is close by the cafe/cafeteria?

    RIT experiences anyone?

I supposed, a lot can change with less than a year and I can't wait to see how much would be. I was there in July and fell in love already. :)

    RIT experiences anyone?

Forgive me, Tower A, is it in signing form for the actual name of the dorm? I wanted to make sure I understand which dorms/apartment you are referring to. It sounds like a similar situation at the dorm I was at and that there are people who can't cook, which led to fire alarms. Of course...

    RIT experiences anyone?

What year did you attend there? It sounds like before 2000 or something. So far, I see plenty of deaf that speaks and the rest signs. There should have been interpreter provided for everyone - or someone that understands your struggle.

    RIT experiences anyone?

That's great! I'm extremely open minded and that's the purpose of attending there! I want to learn it, but also I need to learn ASL since I wish to teach ASL as foreign language. I better hope it's welcoming! I liked the sense of belonging when visiting there once for the tour. I already...

    RIT experiences anyone?

They have an early orientation, I think, a friend of mine is there currently and started in 2014, but she hasn't told me much about it since we last saw each other. I hope there is an option for me to go by.

    RIT experiences anyone?

I am currently waiting for a fee waiver for RIT and already visited RIT over the summer. I will be transferring there for the Fall Semester (hoping to get accepted). I'd like to gain some insight of anyone's experiences attending to RIT and benefits (or pros and cons). I heard of the dorms...

Help with iLuv Vibro II Alarm Clock???

I have received a new alarm clock and I'll admit, I thought it would be easy to set up considering I have an older alarm clock that is a bed shaker for nearly 11 years now. Unfortunately, I hadn't expect difficulty to set it to shaker for the new one. How do I set it up properly? I can't get...
