Use Bluetooth to Speak Directly into Wife's Hearing Aid?

Yes, and I thnk it must be wonderful for those of you that go to school and have meetings etc. I have the Phonak Virto in the ear half shell, so no boots for me, but I do just fine with the BT microphone & Compilot.

Best Deaf Cell Phones? Samsung Galaxy Note II is one!

I have the Samsung Galaxy S4 and it only has BT capability, no telecoil which is also a pain as I have to wear a neckloop for the BT capability. A telecoil is much friendlier to hearing aids. All these new phones are touch screens, but with these phones you can download different apps to suit...

Use Bluetooth to Speak Directly into Wife's Hearing Aid?

Which is why you say buy one cause you didn't have to pay which is fine for those of you that qualify for that. Go to hearingplanet.com and ask them how much and they will tell you. I just bought my new compilot package and the I can't remember but the Roger pen is FM and I don't have fm...

Lost one of my hearing aids - what next?

My new hearing aids are warranted and insured by Phonak automatically or 3 years. So call your audiologist and tell them that's happened and you'll probably find you are covered.

Use Bluetooth to Speak Directly into Wife's Hearing Aid?

I'm looking on Amazon right now for an alternative to the Phonak Compilot set I got for my new hearing aids. The set is $487 and it includes the neckloop, microphone, TV-Link base and various cords etc. I am now looking at a Clearsounds brand that plugs into the back of the TV (Bluetooth) $47...

Conflict with statistic and gun issues

In my humble opinion, those stats are not the full picture. You have demographics to take into account also for those districts.

I just got my Phonak Q90 Virto and had a music program put in. But then I'm no expert on things but sounds better than normal

"Do not file a complaint here. Contact your audiologist..."

Your insurance? Can you tell me what a dispensing fee is for? After all the questioning I did with my insurance and the Audiologists, they audiologists put a charge in for Dispensing and my insurance says it doesn't cover that. They charged $600 per hearing aid for this Dispensing fee...

    Hearing Aids & Moisture

I mentioned those electric thingys to my audi and she said the basic plastic container with something round and yellow in it was the best as it draws things out like a suction, rather than the slow action of the thingy!

Got my new Hearing Aids =)

I must say that my phonak draws (doors) lasted much better than my Starkey ITC ones did. Basically had the same ones for most of the 9 years.

Got my new Hearing Aids =)

My Audie hadn't ordered one before so I think she wanted to see how it worked. I have had to fiddle abit with it. Just messing with it today too, trying to figure out why the jack cord I took from a T-coil neck loop and plugged into the Compilot has a crackling sound and doesn't seem to stream...

Got my new Hearing Aids =)

My audiologist charged my Compilot up because she wanted us to trial it before she sent me home with it.

Got my new Hearing Aids =)

Oh, that doesn't give me confidence if I am wearing it all day for phone and TV. Think it is just as good to use my old Unitron Loop system that you sit over and not wear for TV.

Got my new Hearing Aids =)

We have a higher end Sony Bravia TV (around 5 years old) and it has 2 sets of Sounds out plugs so that has been a saviour. I think I heard of a name called SCART which is supposed to give you the extra plugs from one initial set. The only other way is through your Sky Box or your Cable TV...

Got my new Hearing Aids =)

I wear mine under my clothes, but only had it a few weeks. It hurts my neck after awhile as I have some neck issues so I tuck it into my bra strap. One thought, it doesn't have any radiation coming out of it like the cellphones? Need to check that one out.
