hang in there! Tweety Bird, I am so sorry to hear about your mother's cancer and surgery. I remember when my own mom was diagnosed with cancer. Surround yourself with friends and family as a support group. You and your mother are in my thoughts.

Well, since that's my hometown, I'd love to go and possibly see family and friends while I'm in town, as well as meeting people from AD. But with 3 weddings coming up this year, I'm not sure I'll be able to go until it gets a little closer. So please put me on the 'maybe' list. Thanks.

Sequoias, have you looked into the SOLOS group that another AD member mentioned? I'm thinking it might be helpful, because they might be able to help you as you possibly go through the different stages of grieving.... again, I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad that you turned to your AD...
