Bottesini,
A online audiologist that sells HA suggested the Siemens Pure 500 or the Unitron Next 16. He said they would suit me better, because they would allow adjustments to take place down to 95db. Check out the shaded area of the Zon in my first post, and the Pure & Next below, and see...
Two different audiologist from different hearing clinics made these suggestions to me. One suggested the Microtech Curve, while the other suggested the Starkey Zon. These two Hearing Aids are exactly the same, so based on my high pitch 80db hearing lost, you are saying open fit HA are not right...
Can a chip be put into a Starkey Zon.5 that will allow it to lower the shaded area of the fitting range in the attachment below, passed the 80 decibel mark?
Good luck buddy, I hope you can win the auction at a good price. But I agree with Bottesini, as 600 bucks for something that can be done in a matter of minutes is really sad to see.
I think I will be choosing the Siemens Pure 500. If there are any audiologist are hearing aid experts in this site, please tell me if I should go with the S-Reciever (45dB) or M-Reciever (55dB) ?

Just how much tweeking does a audiologist have to do with the Siemens Pure 500, once he programs it off of the reading of your audiogram?
To my understanding the Siemens Pure 500 is pretty much self adjusting.
Siemens Pure 500 and 700 owners feel free to tell us your experience with them.

hohDougRN,
Thank you for you reply.
The thing that is most amazing to me, is the fact that this seller has over 10,000 e-bay transactions and has a 100% feedback rating. He has to be selling original equipment, and please his buyers to boot. :hmm:
There is a guy in e-bay that is selling Siemens hearing aids at almost unbelievable price. He has 2 Siemens Pure 500 Digi Open Fit RIC Hearing Aids for $2,849 or 1 Siemens Pure 500 Digi Open Fit RIC Hearing Aid for $1,349. Both of them also come with free remote and a free charger.
