Yes, same here! My site aaron.im is also custom Wordpress and is responsive, too. I am curious - where did you learn how to use WP? Someone taught me how via screenshare which is pretty cool and time saving. I used MAMP to test it locally.

I use Coda app. Google "panic coda". The reason I chose this app it reminded me of CODA. Very good app. Also you can try "Sublime Text 2" too. They both are very good.

I don't know about deaf workshops/conferences but google "conferenceroundup". It's a roundup of conferences and events for people who work on the web. Hope this is very helpful.

No offense but that site is no good. Google "teamtreehouse". It's one of the best online resource I've ever used. They provided not only Photoshop but many other apps as well. They also provide subtitles which is a big plus. Also, google "codeacademy" too. It's all about programming...
