Oh wow, very nice! I'm a huge animal person so I can relate. :) I don't know BSL, only ASL. But I'm always available to Skype or whatever to practice or learn. :)
Hey!
I'm just checking to see who would like to Skype. I'm late-deafened. I used to be fluent, then my signing became a bit rusty. I'm looking for anyone who is wanting to learn or practice with someone, or someone who wouldn't be opposed to helping me regain my ASL skills.
I'm...

[Willing to help other's learn Sign, could use some practice myself since I'm a bit rusty.]
I do. Along with a few other rare conditions that affect my whole body. I'm surprised you know what that is, let alone able to pick that out I'm assuming from my username. :)
That's a VERY good point Gobae. I was at youth group last month and a girl who is in ASL 1 saw me signing with my boyfriend and best friend. She kept trying to say we were wrong when we signed something or when we would try and teach her (nicely I might add) that what she was signing was...
I'm a late-deafened 22 year old who has ironically been a part of the Deaf community my whole life, though I don't have anyone in my family who is deaf. I'm chronically ill and stuck in bed most of the time with nothing to do. I'd love to Skype with anyone who is interested. My signing is a bit...

It would be very rare for someone to get upset if you signed something incorrectly knowing you're hearing. You will find most of the time, we're just so happy and appreciative when someone even puts in the time to TRY to learn our language. :) Don't be nervous. Just do what you can. :)
Hello AllDeaf!
To summarize this, I'm 22 years old and I lost my hearing as a teenager, but ironically have been a part of the Deaf community my whole life despite not having anyone in my family who is deaf. I'm chronically ill, so I'm usually stuck in bed most of the time bored out...
