Seven or more eggs a week linked to death risk

What do they know. All we can do is eat in moderation and live happily. we could die tmw so why worry about this?

too many things that they are warning us not to eat or eat them in moderation or whatever that is. so what do they know? next they will say DO NOT EAT? :dunno:

oh brother.. this is really annoying... :(
Yeah. I agree. Everyone should know that you shouldn't have too much. Besides, why would you eat the exact same thing over and over?

There are 7 days a week... 3 meals a day... breakfast, lunch, & dinner. The food we eat for each meal are usually different. If we eat the same thing every day, we won't be eating anything more than 7 times a week. So, 7 is pretty much the "highest" number you can follow for anything you eat.

Several years agoi, it was recommended that people not eat more than 3 eggs a week. Then they backtracked at a later time and said the study was flawed and eating eggs was not a heralth risk. Then they said, okay, eat eggs, but don't eat the yolks. And then theysaid the nitrates in bacon were links to cancer. And don't cook in aluminum pots because it causes build up of toxic heavy metals in the brain leading to dementia. Some one is always coming up with something like this, andthen it is later disproved, and they find something elso to warn us about.

:gpost: It's enough to make one :dizzy: from all the confusion over it all.

Yeah... just like water.

"You can drink as much water as you want."

"Sorry, we're wrong... 8 cups is all you need."

"Oops... 8 cups is too much!"

"It's confirmed, 8 cups is indeed what you need."

I wish they would make up their damn minds! But then again, isn't that how the whole world works? They change their minds about everything.

;)

now they said we dont have to drink 8 cups of water a day. They said we can get our water from foods, coffee, and any drinks. WTF?

like i said they cant make their damn mind up! its damn annoying! jeez!

I don't undy why eggs are such a staple. I hate eggs except for deviled eggs...oh and Cadbury Creme eggs!

Yup! They can't agree on anything related to nutrition, so as I said... I listen to my Dr, and I don't worry about what the research has to say.

right but especially in summer time i would still drink water to stay hydrated or else you could end up getting sick. just be safe than be sorry.

sorry off topic ..

back to eating eggs .....

You're right. Check with your Dr about how much water you should be drinking. I've heard that the required 64oz/day (8 8oz glasses/day) has gone out the window.

Yes you are correct. It is best to ask your dr about this.

they said only to drink when you are thirsty and do not overdrink.

i noticed that if i dont drink much, my throat would be irrirating and sore? so i gotta drink to keep them wet. :giggle:

sometimes some fruits is in place of water if you can't drink alot of water... anything that's water soluble .. Also, I was told by dr. that you not suppose to drink water or anything during your meal, wait 20 mins after your meal then drink whatever you want.. so that you aren't washing down everything that you eating by losing the nutrients in your body...

Yeah I do agree with you as you do that then don't drink during the meal then wait 20 mins before you drink again... I think it goes for before meal to wait an hour before to eat then you won't need to eat so much.. I guess but I could be wrong!! :)

They will say anything to get people to stop eating eggs but if we cook the eggs right way like poached them or boil them instead of frying them which is not good as it is high in fat. If people know how to do it right by eating healthy then i dont see why? but whatever.. God put chickens on earth for us to eat eggs so whatever to that.. sighs!

Yeah, that's right but we need good fat (not bad fat). If I want to fry then use good and quality oil like olive oil, sunflower oil, etc. I am not saying that we should fry the eggs everyday but need good fat, that's all. I do use poached eggs and boiled egg a lot than fry eggs with olive oil.

Ehh... 6 eggs is fine, but 7 eggs isn't?

I like eggs, but I don't eat eggs often. If you were to calculate the average based on the number of eggs I eat a year, it would likely come down to 1 egg every 3 weeks.

If I was on a low-carb diet, I still wouldn't focus on eggs too often. I would make it 1 or 2 eggs a week for breakfast. I might even have an egg or two when I eat at a salad bar (sliced egg bits for the salad), which usually happens once a month.

If you use low-carb diet then focus on eggs. Did you know that eggs have a protein?

Very true...

At first they said egg is bad for you and should eat eggs up to 3 eggs a week then next they said that egg is good for you because they have vitiamins and protein... then this article here... :dunno2:

True, about water... but drinking one to three litres water is very common here in Germany. They laughed when I told them what I learn from US Forum about water like what you mentioned here...

Yes, but I would recommend you to drink one or two glass of water before and after eat the meal (breakfast, break snacks, dinner, evening snack, etc.) per day. It helps to reduce the hungry. You can drink more if you are thirsty.
