She came to find me as I was out of sight, and saying "Mum, A man an acquanitated of mine, (he was sack from my work), gave me his mobile ph number, but Dad embarrament me telling him off that I am 15 years old, I am not kid!!!

I can understand where your daughter come from.

I respectfully disagree with your husband's public humiliation to embarrass your daughter.

I would talk to a man privately to tell him to leave my daughter alone and then explain my daughter at home why I disapprove of him.

IMO

I have somethin' for you. It was a good one. I need to go but, I will come back after church to tell you somethin'. :)

Ok, I am back. Sorry that I didn't post somethin' yesterday after church, because I was debatin' in " Christianity/Religions " Forum last night.

Anyways -- Noticed somethin' with words ? See that words : thirteen, fourteen, fifteen and so forth. They are teens or adolscence ( sp ? ), not " kids ". I just thought that up yesterday and I didn't think of that before. But, now I posted it away to tell you. Heh heh !

No one can change these words, because of that's what they are. :)

Why talk to him privately? My husband wasn't shouting, just talk in normal volume to share his concern about my girl.

We have nothing to hide, just caught him on the spot and tell him at the same time - what's wrong with that?

My daughter don't need to wait until we are home first, she is old enough to know she is underage!!

Food for a thought!! ;)

It only comes in English language, I tried with foreign languages it don't comes out the same as it is?

I'm not saying that your husband "shouting" but talk him front of your daughter or public to embarrass her.

I know that your husband talk normal to him. I would make sure nobody hear my talk to him or not front of my daughter.

Yes we wait until we are home then talk to my boys what/why we disapprove of.....

How do you feel if your husband or parents made humliation embarrass you to the public or front of your friends?

Been there, done that!

Eveyone get embrassed from time to time, from their parents, spouse, teachers, boss and workmates on bad days - don't they? My children embarrassed me in the public - it works on both ways too!

I am not so sure. What kind of foreign languages you were tryin' to use ? I only know in English language, because it spells out with " teen" at the end of the word.

Not everyone as what you mean "all" but some or most who humliate or embarrass person to the public.

I vote Yes!

Two weekends ago, we went to a Barn Dancing, with my three daughters, and later in the evening, a man came and chatting to one of my girls, and my husband watching it and he wasn't impressed what he saw this man gave his mobile cell phone number to my girl. He came to my girl and saying to this man "Excuse me, this is my daughter, she is only 15!! and told my girl to deleted his phone number!! This man, my husband saying he looks like over 20+ walked out!

She came to find me as I was out of sight, and saying "Mum, A man an acquanitated of mine, (he was sack from my work), gave me his mobile ph number, but Dad embarrament me telling him off that I am 15 years old, I am not kid!!!

I told her "I am sorry to say I agreed with Dad. Your too young!!!!"

(I thought myself what annoying me is that this man knew my daughter is underage!!)

You and your husband are right. Your daughter is too young! He did the right thing by telling the guy to get lost. He might've bruised your daughter's feelings a bit with what he said, but uh, too bad! When she's older, she'll appreciate this for what it is.

Eh, so she was alittle embarrassed. It was a lesson well learned. So, what if her feelings were hurt alittle. She's a kid.

Exactly! :)

Not everyone as what you mean "all" but some or most who humliate or embarrass person to the public.

Sometimes, that best way to teach a child is to humuliate them in front of their friends. Afterall, we are talking about a kid here.

My son is 13 yrs old. Sometime I treat him as a adult and sometime I treat him as he is my baby. My son hate that. I treat him as normal conversation and be responsible.

I do understand your feelings and opinons about this situation, Liebling..

But in America, people have different opinons... Some of people will treat them like a kid until 21 years old or 18 years old or when they are ready for repsonbile... But, I'd been treated from my parents like a kid until I became 14 years old, they started treat me like an adult because I was start doing my repsonbile... People's opinions different... And even, I watched the tv show named "Dr. Phil", I'm not sure if you have that channel at Germany.. It's about a man who help people to understand and etc like that almost like Maury, etc but a little different.. He called two girls who are 16 years old that they are so kid because they ran away, had sex with older men, etc like that and he said why he called them a kid because they aren't that resonbile even, he have kids on his own.. So, I guess it depends on who will call them a kid or not :dunno:

Huh??? When did that happen? You PM me on Sept 21st asking for my chat because you wanted to talk about Taylor and Buckdodgers. When did you ever tell me to leave you alone and I was never mad at you. If you ignoring me then why sending PM?

Well, it does happen to me before.

In other thread, that where Taylor was discussed about one guy is died in bootcamp since they sent him to here after theft his grandma's car. I don't trust with Taylor because he's from Maryland and other news are happen in Florida, and don't believe him until found out since he's police. 2hot4you replied an offensive post then found out from her profile and she's 14 years old then I told her to not discuss with me because she's kid, but I thought she's adult but... it's not and ask her to leave me alone until she got mad and sent PM to me then ignore her.

I believe that any person who are 16-17 years old are considered to be pre-adult because they are drop out from high school, able to obtain an driver license, get job, move out from parent and live in somewhere, such as friend's house and live in roommate with other people. Alot of latino students (mainly are mexicans) are drop out from high school, that even higher rate than all other races. Most other states can doing different with minor and parent policies, some parent don't want them to live for some reason.

You are correct.

My 11 year old daughter did something rather shamefully today - I forced her to write a letter of apology to her friend AND her mother. I told her that she has to learn that every action comes with a piece of consquence and that she has to think ahead before doing anything of whether it would be positive or negative consquence!:pissed:

We never do that to our boys. When I see what I don't like then I wait until my boys are alone then talk them.

It do not teach children lesson but bitter and disrespect.

It's normal :)

My son is also 13 years old, too. I treat him as young adult/teen with respect. We make normal communication. I help him to develop his maturity and learn how to handle responsible and respect before he reach fully adult.

Yes I'm not surprised that every teens don't like to being treat kids. I show my respect on my boys that's how they respect me more and more.

Of course I said to my both sons... "awww and  them and said them that they are my babies"... They laughed and know it's nature mother feeling.

Yes, I can see that.

It's great that your parents treat you as young adult and help to develop your maturity before you become fully adult. It's same what I did with my boys. It shown that your parents respect you what you are which is great.

Yes I heard about "Dr. Phil" from several forums including here. Yes I read to learn about him... Sometimes I disagree with him... We don't have Dr. Phil TV show here in Germany but other person like Dr. Phil who help people to solve their problems etc. As you said that Dr. Phil called 2 teens as kids because they did not take responsible as young adult... It surprises me and agree with you that American's view are different as European's view because Dr. Phil supposed to help the parents of 2 teens how to solve with 2 teens's development. I can tell from your description about 2 runaway teens that they are unhappy at home and didn't learn how to act as responsible young adult because they are being treat as kid... That's why they remain immaturity and irresponsible kids. They tried to be "adult" and have sex with adults because they don't want to being label as Kids which is no good. The parents should show teens the sex responsible etc. then they will aware what sex is about.

Thank you for understand where I come from...
