PS3 v.s. Xbox 360

Memory cards are still good cause they are smaller and portable with as much data carried inside. HDD is very good too since it carrys much much more.

Right, I will use those if I have portable console like PSP.

GameStop details PS3 preorders
In-store program starts Tuesday morning; $100 deposit required, most stores expecting only eight systems.

GameStop has unveiled its in-store PlayStation 3 preorder campaign to GameSpot, and the retail chain looks to be bracing for a shortage of systems at launch day. Starting Tuesday morning, GameStop and EB Games stores will begin accepting "limited" preorders for the system with a $100 deposit. The preorders are "limited" in that very few will be received, and customers will not be guaranteed a PS3 on its November 17 US launch day.

"Most stores will receive a preorder allocation of eight units, while a few select stores will receive 16," a GameStop official said. "In either case, employee purchases will be restricted to a total of no more than two systems per store."

As for how the $100 can be paid, the company will accept cash, credit, or trade-in. Last month, the company conducted a test-run of preorders for the Wii and the PS3 at its Hawaii stores. In that one-day campaign, the company required that customers pay for the systems' $50 deposit with trade-in credit.

Reservations for the retailer's in-store program will be limited to one per household. The company's online preorder program will be revealed at a later date, "after software and accessory availability dates are confirmed."

That's much worse than Xbox360 preorders last year. :|

Stop right there. Sony did a great job of limiting preorders because due to dumbasses who bought 360 systems and sold those via ebay for a huge profits. The next shipment was in 3 months. That's pretty terrible. That's what sony prevents those plans. And they will restock ps3 on every three weeks unlikely 360. According to PlayStation® Global

great job? limiting preorders? Xbox360? Ebay? dont make me laugh!

3 months? BING! Wrong! The second "launch" was in december so that was only the next month before Christmas. Research the history, dude.

You just hate Xbox360 and is retired from it cause your Xbox360 kept breaking down on you and I just keep thinking that you did something wrong with it but I dont know what. Most of the systems were broken down by the owners. not by the system itself. They don't break down by themselves, ya know.

I'm think that Sony is try encourage people to buy HDTV as hope they get fancy experience to play their PS3 with wonderful blu-ray.

I bet that's Sony's mastermind plan to make sure everybody dump their standard tv over HDTV.

When you buy HDTV, you would say good bye your bank and girlfriend on dating? D:

LOL. You are really brainwash...

PS3 support 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i and 1080p.

You need read PS3 tech spec.
IGN: E3 2005: PS3 Tech Specs

Okay, guys, if any of you are planning to get a PS3 at launch, this is important.

I was reading the new EGM that I recently got in the mail.

so listen to this.

PLAYSTATION 3's Last Gen Lesson

PS2 launch: October 26, 2000

number of games at launch: 29 (yes, 29.)

Average score by EGM: 7.1 out of 10

Good: PS2 launched with a whopping of 29 games at launch.

Bad: The PS2's launch was mostly filled with rushed out rubbish.

Why the PS3 would kick ass:

If Sony can manage to muster up as many games for the PS3 launch as it did for the PS2, it could at least give reluctant gamers a choice between the two next gen power houses. Plus, sweet looking exclusives like Resistance and Motor Storm are the kind of games that would make Xbox360 and Wii owners alittle jealous...(for me I dont give a crap about Resistance or Motor Storm) But even if the games dont manage to impress, the packed in blu-ray player will at least make next gen dvds look $600 good.

Why the PS3 would suck balls:

Shortages. Very limited. Europe launch delayed 'til March 2007. definetly not a good sign for Sony. Only 400,000 units and that is 100,000 less than the PS2's launch. Most of the PS3 launch titles would also go to Xbox360 so it's not like you would be missing out much if you already own an Xbox360. (I told you so.)

Most anticapted PS3 title:

Resistance : Fall of Man

Less anticapted PS3 title: Need for Speed : Carbon (already coming to Xbox360 as well)

So...what's a good reason to buy a PS3, really? I dont see any at all.

Most Sony gamers don't own 360, and refuse to get one.

Every gamers have different personal.

Betcha y'all that a good number of the "first shipment" PS3's will not be very reliable. Sony ain't exactly rthe beacon of reliablity. (That's for Nintendo heh) I think Microsoft has a nice system and it has games coming out that keep getting better and better(and i haven't even gotten myself hooked up on XBOX live yet). About the PS3, I think MGS4 will be one of(if not the first)the first PS3 system-selling games. If the PS3 is not accesible to the consumer at the time of MGS4, that won't be good for Sony.

Yeah it seems to me that the only true and great PS3 game is MGS4.

...that's it. :|

It does nothing with MS and Wii about Sony's lies.

You don't realize about Sony but... Sony is right about Wii because Wii's cost is $250, that what Sony stated about correct prices for Wii and Nintendo announced about Wii will offers free browser for 6 month. You know better that Sony is just stated about lower-end 360 and PS3 with online gaming support, and many gamers are interesting with wireless controller.

I'm laughing at you because you aren't interesting in online gaming then too chick to get it.

If ppl really thinks that Wii is still overpriced, then they need to lay off whatever they were smoking and I still dont care for online gaming...but as for Wii having wi-fi connection and that is free...and have classic games downloads, etc...that is much better than Xbox live.

Sony turned to dark force of video game business.

IGN: Lik Sang's Sales of PSP Illegal

I know its about PSP sales but Sony want keep Lik Sang from selling PS3 consoles to Europe.

I'm really don't care about issues in Europe.

Thanks to USA and Canada for not messed up on our system, and PSP isn't my type until Sony need redesign to reduce our hand strained and remove the small analog stick, and small analog stick is our major problem but most of PSP are good.

I wouldnt say that if I were you since Europe is very important in part of the gaming business...and the world is divided into three large countries such as Japan, America, and even Europe (yeah I know...a contient) Anyway, with the delayed Europea launch is already hurting Sony half to death and is already losing billions of dollars on each manufactured since it cost $900 to manufacture the console. Really, does Sony know what they are doing?

and the Nintendo DS is still digging the grave for the PSP since there arent that much good games for the PSP and the UMD movies dont sell well, and the battery life is just as poor. What happened, Sony? you were doing so well since the PS and PS2 came out...
