You may be right that human killed people with guns. They chose the guns the easy way to kill them instantly. If we can ban the guns, then that would be nice to end this madness but there are other weapons, even from the kitchens, that can hurt or killed people. The people who killed are sick, sick and have lots of mental problems of their own. It is true that it is a never-ending violence in our world. There is lack of compassion and respect to our society. :(
 
The difference I see is those who want guns banned, are trying to equate guns with murder - without seeing a need for self defense from murderers. they just cannot see the connection.

a wrong use of expression. I don't want to kill a person and I will do everything I can not to have to shoot a person but I will not hesitate if my life is in danger.

in your scenario - John breaks into my house. I get my Uzi out and spray him dead till my clip is empty.
in my scenario - John breaks into my house. I get my gun out and train it on him with multiple verbal warnings. If he reaches into his pocket or rushes toward me, I double-tap him.... single-shot if using a shotgun. I call 911... secure him... and render medical assistance if possible. Cops are notorious for letting suspects bleed to death and I don't do that.

Like I said I already told you what I would do. Can't you read? or are you too lazy to read the previous posts? And what would you do in a home invasion? Probably die or get the ever living crap beat out of you! Where I live we have a part of the city that has home invasions that target a certain ethnic group and of those that resist or try to resist, the victims are either severely beaten or killed, those that give them what they want go on to live another day, end of story!

Actually I had two guys in my place that I wasn't expecting last week. I didn't know who they were. However, as luck had it, I wasn't in my tinfoil hat and wasn't armed. No belligerent gun shows were had.

I talked to them, and told them to get the hell out. They left. No problems.
