Sonocativo, I don't believe you have Black friends if you make comments like that which is insulting against humanity. Would you stop blaming on Ferguson which the town is really upset over the incident and there are other people who are not protesters doing the looting and destroying people's business? I do not like what you say like that. I am Native and I know what it is like to some Natives who were being treated unfairly by government and police which does a lot of damage to our self esteem. Yes, it is racial and don't ever say it is racial card when you know better that we were not treated fairly. We don't have the privilege like you have the white privilege. So who's to blame if it isn't the residents of Ferguson? Oh and it is the residents doing the looting...case closed. Also How many whites did you see on video looting the businesses...hmmmmmmm, makes me wonder, should make you wonder too.
 
(A) white cop shoots (B) black thug then (C) residents of ferguson protest/riot and loot....?

Hmmm, Its and (A) + (B) issue so - (C) their way out.
 
RR , yes the looters should be held responsible for the damage they cause and the store owners that did have insurance should be covered for their lost.
 
@Bebonang....sorry you are so upset but I will reply to the portion of your post directed at me. I waited for quite some time to make a comment on this topic. I read numerous articles, medical reports etc. I never said my opinion was fact, it is just my opinion. It is a fact that on that exact same date that Michael Brown was shot a white unarmed teen was shot and killed by a black cop. It is a fact that story did not make headline news. My family has numerous police officers and it is a fact that their lives and the lives of many great police officers are now at greater risk. SO....a white cop shot and killed a black unarmed teen. People went crazy causing numerous serious issues. A black cop shot a white unarmed teen and no one heard a word. This is fact!!
 
Right, like I said... Media love to play race card to rile people up. To stir anger and protests. It needs to stop. This is getting old from the media.

Most of my friends ( black and white ) are police officers, some retired already as they served their 20 years and got out. Coming straight from ex police officers, its a crazy world out there and it doesn't matter what walk of life it comes from, there is always that "one" to stir it up.

Well I can say this, cops do not do the job for the money. For the risk they take now it's just not worth it. Little things like....my brother a police officer went to Togo's to order a sandwich. When he walked up to the counter he noticed the guy making the sandwich's was a guy he had arrested for gang activity. This creep says to my brother, "how is your daughter _____ doing" he knew her name. Of course this pisses off my brother but also freaks him out. Also, you get injured as a cop on the job, good luck. It takes years to get a settlement. I have said it before but my brother was attacked by three inmates at the jail requiring brain surgery, neck and shoulder surgery. He is disabled, lost everything. His wife left him too. The police department has the incident on tape yet they are still fighting the claim. Being a cop in the world today is very dangerous because the bad guys have way more rights then they do.

A White girl was missing and this was reported on all the news station and at the same time a Black boy who is autism was missing too and there was no reports about him on the news . I saw only one report about the Black boy on Nightly news and that was it. A Black boy go missing and no one say a word on TV , the color of a person skin should not made them any less importance , be it White or,Black .

True, I believe the pay scale is $27,000 year starting and maxs at $45,000 so, you can work a management job making that, its not much and definitely not worth your life.

How closely did you read that article? The comment one guy made "He has insurance but the policy does not cover damage from rioting." is what I expected. Normal liability policies DO NOT cover rioting and/or war type losses — not just in Ferguson but anywhere.

I guess its like homeowners who don't read the fine print for Flood insurance. Its not included and is an add on for additional costs? I don't know, but if I had a business in a bad area, Im sure Id have it for added measure.

Flood insurance is odd, it covers natural disasters..
So why would a homeowner out of a flood zone need it right?
WELL, if a pipe bursts and your basement is flooded, it falls under the "flood" portion. which is BS! its not a flood or natural disaster, its a broken pipe....but they have their ways to screw honest people out of their money.
Business owners should know better, and if the statistics show there is never or very rarely a riot/flood/whatever, the costs shouldn't be too steep.
Flood insurance add on for my policy is about $50 a year, it floods all around me but I am on a hill and will never flood up here unless it rains 40 days and 40 nights.

What are 'Acts of God' clauses in insurance policies? - LawInfo

Some insurance companies will not pay for damages that are the 'act of God'
or the way the rain got into your house . I heard it depend claims not being covered b/c of the angle the rain come into a house. Insurance companies are good at finding ways not pay up , they out to made money .

Never heard that???? My insurance company does not mark my claim against me or raise my rates due to any damages that are "An act of God"
Guess it depends on how shady the company is?

Zimmerman wasn't white. He was of Hispanic/mixed races. I still am trying to figure out what the hell a white Hispanic is? Heaven forbid an Asian cop shoots someone who is black. Would they be a white Asian? :roll:

I'm Asian and even I get dealt with the racism card all the time from different races especially blacks - I see every race play that card of course. I always hear how come there are not more black jurors on panels. Actually there are but most people try to get out of jury duty and selection but when the random selection has few pulled from driver's license/voter's registration and all minorities are at the end of the selection...it's random. Doesn't mean it is racist.

The thing is any race can pull the race card (even whites). However, I dislike when people pull the race card for stuff that happened over 50+ years ago ans try to make other races pay for it today. Japanese Americans were detained in WWII over Pearl Harbor however you don't see me slam that in a white person's face. Mostly because I know a child who was born 18 years ago has nothing to do with the racism that occurred 70 years ago.

I'll admit I don't mind people apologizing for the racism that happened then to Japanese but they already did. We fought for it and got it recognized. However I don't demand every white child to pay that forward nor other minorities.

The fact of the matter is an 18 year old was on the wrong side of the law and a cop shot him. Look at the situation outside the races involved. Ugh...media at its finest.

But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.

Why is it that only whites can be racists??
