What are you thinking about Part VII

thinking..... Manwich sloppy joe and mac & cheese for dinner sounds mighty tasty! that hamburger meat in my fridge better be thawed out by now!
 
Thinking I should sleep well on the train home in Oct. Was originally going to move from the sleeper (paid with points) to coach (paid with moola) at 11:49 PM...if the train is running on time. Decided to splurge and stay in the roomette all the way.
The agent learned something new tonight, from her supervisor, when I questioned something. She seemed happy to learn something new.

Seems as if staying in a sleeper car would be far more comfy, so good choice! You going for vacation or family or work?

The Russian alphabet does not have ' TH' in it so my dad never got the hang of using it . I can' t heard the 'TH' sound , so it's very funny to me that dad gave me speech lessons on how to count to three. This was not genetics at work , it's getting years of speech lessons say 'tree' for three and I have gotten so use to saying . I had speech lessons the speech therapist was not able to get to say 3 correctly.

Definitely more comfy for sleeping. Just hate spending the $$. There's still one leg of the trip where I'll sleep in coach. That will be the first night.

Vacation! 2 weeks!! In the fall.
Taking a roundabout way to the Bay Area to meet up with my train friends. But first will meet up with a few of them in LA then ride up with them to SF. After riding local trains over the weekend a bunch of us will take the more direct route back east.
3-1/2 days on trains each way. And seeing parts if the country I've never seen before, even from the air.

Oh, and will see my daughter, SIL & grandson one day while out there. :)

It's OK to take cloths out of the washing machine before the last cycle is done and leave the lid up? I did a wash tonight and had not put any money in the machine yet but when I put the lid down the last cycle started up. I was wondering if that was bad for the machine motor , being in a cycle with the lid up all day. We have new tenants here and they're bad news.

In my case it was genetics. I did not mean to imply yours was. What you talked about reminded me of that long ago time talking with my Dad about words and the difficulties of both being very shy people in a world that rewards being outgoing and verbally adept.

I think looking back that he was surprised to see that some of the things he battled in himself were actually genetic. I was just a little boy and was touched by his interest in me on that level. He had pushed himself hard to be on the other side of all that. I could not conceive that he had struggled with the same kind of paralyzing shyness right down to mispronouncing the same words that brought teasing and unwanted attention on himself.
Like wittle for little and chimley for chimney.

We would have really been in trouble with an adopted language.
 
I am thinking about this weekend, and how absolutely excited I am to do nothing.... minus having to drop my bike off to get the battery looked at and get the front brakes done on my car.... stupid brakes.... :mad: I really wanted to do absolutely nothing and lock myself down inside and veg out in front of the TV with some food and various other items.... but looks like I have to venture out into the world for at least a part of a day.... :doh: It's just been one of those weeks! :doh:
 
thinking how i just found out i am related to a woman who works at kohl's who passed away last week on facebook.

It's a great thing to strive for debt free but sometimes the cost can be too high. Also consider if this extra salary will throw you into a higher tax bracket.

I wish you the best of luck. Hate to see you get in a more stressful situation.

6 years of having no raise really hurted my ability to pay off my debt. Maybe I could work there until I pay off my debt and go back to my current job or somewhere else. They have a program in which they pay off student loans. Wow!

The students are special needs. I just learned that I will be teaching special needs kids with behavior problems in the Fall at my current job so no difference.

these people are in and out of prison had kids taken away local drug surply last arrested was using gun on teenager,and they related to young woman who just killed her three children then herself who was 9months pregnant.these people thought it funny..ok you live next to someone like that
