Maybe so, but this is a guy I have known for more than 10 years-- he has never done anything this extreme. The more he keeps trying, the more irritating it gets.

I did create a strong password-- maybe too powerful. He's been trying all day and the better part of last night trying to get in, and he hasn't yet figured it out. He may have gotten lucky guessing my password last time; I don't know for certain, but he won't have any such luck this time. :hmm: Maybe additional security measures would be nice like many e-mails do. Well, we'll see.

You can get IP address that Alex tracks anyone who try to log in your account.

I'll PM him. And for IP addresses, he sent me my own IP address and another one here. Both I'm familiar with, and only confirms my thoughts.

You know, my now former friend used to be a really good person-- until he started trying to hack into my account. I have the feeling this is just the beginning of a downward spiral for him, cause he's tried to break in more than the average person does-- they usually succeed after a few tries, but 80? He's either mentally disturbed or deranged. Either way, he wants control of this account, and I can't figure out why. Well, the good thing is, I can eliminate one of the suspects-- he didn't do it.
 
The average person doesn't try to log onto other people's account. Aaaaaaand you DO live in like a halfway house for the mentally ill don't you.......
 
Now he's trying to throw Alex off track by using another IP address. I just got another notification that he tried again, and the IP address is unknown. Trying to find out where it's at. He thinks he can't be traced if he's not using any of those here at the house. WRONG. Alex can, and will find him.

Halfway house?! LMAO! Not even close. This house is for people who live independently, with occasional visits from people. There is no 24/7 staff here.
 
Oh well that's TOTALLY different. Nothing AT ALL "like" a halfway house.

I'm sure Alex is going to make this his top priority and will have your problem fixed in no time.

Yes. We do have mental illnesses, yes, but we don't let it bother us. In fact, the bunch of us here are some of the brightest here-- with the exception of the idiot trying to break in here. And yes, I'm fairly sure Alex will be on it when he finds out what's been going on. Wouldn't be surprised if he already knows. He does own the site, after all.

don't worry about your AD getting hacked. it's not a big deal. let it go.

I'm willing to let it go, but the people who manage this house are gonna say differently. I'm not saying I'm obsessed-- it's just that they have rules in place for stuff like this, and this type of behavior he's doing isn't acceptable here, and is grounds for getting kicked out of the residence.

big thing going on in uk about this sort of thing....if this site is on your f/b or google account then i think answer be yes...
it is horrible think people can do this,i know from experince.
when i log into my computer it automatically says who using wifii in my locality it do worry me..
how about early morning alarm call to him everyday from a pay phone in china

ever tried site called ip.adress.com you can get some good info on that too
