I have never experienced a FL summer, but here, it is akin to hell.

Except it's a wet heat! :P
I have been in Florida and experienced that wet heat. Those people, my sister included, are simply crazy! On the other hand, I have been in Phoenix in August, and walked around downtown when it was 122 degrees, and I absolutely loved it.

Dry heat rocks!!

Have to say, When I was here in Central and South Florida before 1996 I could handle the humidity and heat with no problem. Went to the fair and all the art fests and never had a problem with the humidity and such. Spent 13 years in Missouri and had a little drier heat and got to where I couldn't handle it at all. Been back to South Florida now for 4 years and I spend as little time outside as I have to. I can no longer handle the heat and humidity. Missouri and the midwest ruined it for me in a way.

Really wondering how my roommate drama will be played out today.

Grew up in Phx...that dry heat can be oppressive. The good thing about the humidity is the rain in the evenings to cool things down. However, the next day would even feel more humid.
