North Korea readying rockets to aim at U.S. targets, state media says

Yup, you don't see Michelle doing it here do you... Obama is just doing it for show now after all the criticism in the past, plain as day on stage in front of millions, everyone in the photo had hand on heart and Obamon standing with his hands crossed at his lap, I cant find the picture but will post when I do, but your photo shows michelle hasn't changed yet.
I don't see other people (in the background) doing it either.

I am not sure about during day time, but night time yes. I swear over my great grandmother's grave that man! that F-16 or something like that flew maybe 400 feet above me and the vibration and loudness. My god! And mind you it was in my neighborhood and population areas as well. So, I don't think it has to do with FAA during special occasions.

no. it's most likely because it was operating under FAA regulation that it must fly at certain speed over populated area. a noise pollution issue.

WWWwwwwait! what? You want borrow one of their assault rifles? I thought you want to ban em? Im lost!

Everybody, except CP... please don't lend him assault rifle, he might not know how to use it and could kill you right away. Too dangerous for rookie like CP.
STFU!

Telling me to STFU? Wow! Maybe you aren't qualified to get AR-15 on your hands.... That attitude tells me and I'm scary if your gonna shoot me because your too embarrassed to find yourself wrong. Its ok to admit change of mind or heart.

No one knows for sure. I bet several countries has them. That is why no one wants to fire first, but are more willing to follow which can lead to thermonuclear, aka WWIII. If that happens, we all will vaporize unless we got underground bunker, but I rather not because of radiation poisoning and most doctors n nurses may be already wiped out. I rather vaporized instantly than to suffer. Scary!

Who to blame? Its Harry Truman, 33rd president who decided to drop world first atomic bomb in Japan. Now everybody knows there is nuclear weapons available. Sad!

Nuclear weapons: Who has what?

Oh, man we have alot of them in America.

Lol... Blaming on Truman for nuclear. The problem is Truman didn't invented atomic bomb - it was group of scientists that created atomic bomb and nuclear. We can blame on one scientist for passing secret papers that show how to make nuclear to Soviets... Or we can blame on French for passing all nuclear information to several countries. But blaming on Truman is not right.

Bet they are all gonna go wipe with their left hands now

they have been wiping with their left hands since birth... they don't use right hands for that. that's why it's rude to wave hello with a left hand.

not sure I follow. everybody ALREADY knew about it long before a-bomb in Japan. Germany and USSR were working on it and Albert Einstein strongly urged the American government to do it too.

and no - President Truman didn't decide to drop the bomb... the Japanese forced his hand to drop it since they ignored his warning several times. not our fault.... and I'm glad it's the Americans who dropped the first nuke in other country instead of Germany or USSR.

better us than them. since then.... not a single country has ever nuked any other country.

Before Truman said go ahead drop the bomb. No one in the world know what A bomb is. Until Truman gave a go ahead, the rest is history as everybody knows one exists and tried to spy on USA to get the information how to build one. Truman was warned by some scientist not to think about dropping it. But Truman wants to be hero by ending the war so gone ahead dropped two. The world had changed after witness the mushroom clouds.

In other words, if nobody knows something then something like this is not gong to happen.

I understand what you mean, and yes you are right the world suspect the possibility of "A bomb". No one had figured out until United States figured it all out. After done dropped two A bombs, Spy vs Spy started right away. So, think this way, if US never dropped one but tested, passed and kept secret then it would be our best defense mechanism against other countries, plus once other countries tested, United States WILL know and spy on them and make sure they aren't stupid enough to drop one.

Your right about us being only country to nuke, that is because nobody else has it. Today, technically too many people has it. Think about this, once one country decided to nuke, how many other countries is gonna to be pissed off and follow? Hence domino effect.

Its just same as it takes one to start fight that leads to the riot.

eh I don't really care. the biggest reason? nobody's stupid enough to start a nuclear winter. it's probably good that several countries now have nuclear capability. the more countries that have nuclear capability, the more unlikely any of us will use it.

and beside.... a nuclear weapon is extremely expensive and extremely difficult. that's one of the reasons why many countries don't have it or don't bother investing in it. and look at USSR... they collapsed. look at North Korea... what a feeble attempt to make one.

even the most hardcore terrorist with extreme hatred toward America can't even come up with a dirty bomb.

so yea - I'm hardly concerned about a nuclear weapon. it's too detectable.... too expensive to acquire... too difficult to handle because a suicide bomber will die from radiation exposure... and too volatile which is why a bunch of countries fail to attempt to produce a functional nuclear weapon.

Even though you might be right. BUT my point is it is best to be prepared than ignore them which could be at their advantage.

Pearl Harbor is perfect example, they got tons of warning, but they ignored. Japan took advantage of US being ignorant with surprise attack on Pearl Harbor.

Same with Titanic, they ignored several warnings about iceberg ahead. Captain thought since it never happened so it won't happen in future. As soon as they found out the hard truth... ooops poor 1,500 souls perished in the sea which could have easily avoided in the first place. So, is it really worth to be ignorant or be vigilant?

You don't get it. US president is really commander in chief, he will command no matter if scientists refused. Problem is, that they already figured out during FDR, and FDR decided not to go ahead with A bomb, then he passed away. Truman took over and decided go ahead with A bomb to get over with stupid war with Japan. I think it is one of his biggest mistake.

huh? those scientists did not report to the U.S. President. they were asked and they voluntarily accepted the job. they were never ordered or forced to do the job. that's what Soviet Union and Nazi did, not America.

and you are wrong - Truman's hefty decision saved millions of lives. The two biggest mistake are the Japanese government attacking Pearl Harbor and ignoring our stern warning. and Truman's decision to drop the bombs literally ended the war.... how is that a mistake?

Your looking at different angle. We all will always have what we called "copy cats". If US never drop couple A bombs, we probably will never know of any nuclear exists. But because we KNEW there is something this powerful which increases number of people trying to break the secret code of how to make an A bomb, then trying to copy America's superpower.

And I don't believe scientist doing this by voluntarily. You and I may never know whats behind the curtain. I don't believe government is telling everything what they were doing. Some areas, I can understand due to national security issues. During the time of developing an A bomb before anyone knows, and government knows any scientist that have these keys are under microscope and they don't take it lightly and I don't think there was any exit sign for any scientists who once got inside the Manhattan project.

dont be naive, scientists NEVER had that sort of power, they are simply 'intellectual slave-workers', and they never volunteered!, NEVER , they were forced. and at that, it would be be proved because of its ramifications shall a US Govt be found out to do the undoing of such..too much was at sake...so indeed, it will be denied...much the same as the 'zero dark thirty' they allowed it so long as no one got caught, till one blew the whistle...and...social media had proved a potent means of leaking, the whole game has changed, and all the while its 'talking the talk' to sounds right, , that is, 'justice' and 'treatment' and 'human rights' and all the bs...even right now something's is going on, and since the 'leak' its gonna be even more secretive...(from their experience)
