North Korea readying rockets to aim at U.S. targets, state media says

 We talk about North Korea threat issues.

Don't need to worry - we do talk about earthquake in California in this thread.

All this talk about earthquakes in California. Alaska has had the most and stronger earthquakes. Missouri comes second largest, then California. I've been in four of the largest ones here in California and they definitely are not fun but tornados, ice storms, hurricaines in the rest of the states have claimed a lot more lives then earthquakes in California.

Yes, that's true, also insurance usually goes bankrupt after major hurricanes like Katrina.

I agree with you but I read the whole thread and there are quite a few posts about earthquakes here in California. Since I live here I thought I would put my 2 cents in.:giggle:

Continue the discussion about NK I am enjoying reading it, some great information.

Eh? I grew up in California. I've had experienced of earthquakes many times. I have no damage housing report, I do have home insurance and I had some survival kits (foods, camping stove, solar power for cellphone, etc). I ain't afraid of earthquake. They always panic attack or panic disorder. I'm not.

Your right!!! It's amazing the destruction the1989 earthquake caused yet only 63 people were killed. Compared to the lives lost in Katrina:-(

I love living in California, born and raised and never left.

It was the Loma Prieta earthquake 7.1 in 1989. I was in a few down south too. These earthquakes do cause a lot of damage but we are lucky they don't kill a lot of,people due to our strict building codes.

whats that? insurance payouts only for umbrellas?? thats just MEAN

an insurance company also has an insurance coverage which also has an insurance coverage and so on.

in short - everybody including insurance companies are all covered.... until it gets to the point where federal government bails them out

Well the Air Force designated it a fighter because the pilot (aims) the ordnance just like a gun in the nose or on wings. It carried a grand total of two :eek3: laser-guided bombs because it was too small for anything more. They were dropped far from the target and guided by the pilot to the target.

The B-2 Bomber carries 20 tons of conventional or nuclear bombs which are dropped straight out the bottom where gravity takes over. Hence a (bomber).

B-2 Spirit Bomber

Lockheed Martin · F-117 Nighthawk

Some planes are given the F designation to draw interest; top pilots looking at "new" aircraft are going to want to fly fighters more than bombers and those much more than cargo and tankers.

F-16 I think flew right above my head (I am not sure how high but it was really low), man! UNREAL and yes I saw Stealth flying around my house once and it was awesome! I only live few miles from airport and they had blue angel and other military air show I forgot what it was called.

Now we're talking! If you have never seen one fly at an air show, you really are missing something spectacular.

Almost similar experience... I have had an F-15 fly right over me with their afterburners on at an airshow. I agree... unreal!

I guess he talked too much.

Yeah, strong vibration EVERYWHERE my lil truck was shaking and I was very confused at first then look up all sudden that plane flew right pass me in instant. WOW

In past, Air show at Hawthorne, CA. I didn't go there but, I noticed a single B-2 stealth bomber flew over my home where I stood at public park. I don't feel vibrate from noise jet or I don't hear jet noise. It's a so quiet plane and impressive of that stealth technique.
