I'm all for closing the loopholes. But as TX said it was all about the timing!

It's a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. If it's not the corporate tax rate, then it's going to be something else that he's going to be accused of doing as "timing".

He could hug a friend's baby and suddenly he's splashed in the papers as hugging a baby for "timing".

The Tea Party as well as hard core right wingers have been screaming at this administration for their insistence that taxes be raised.

Now ... all of a sudden, Obama agrees with them? Now, all of a sudden, he lowers the tax rate? Soon enough, he might even start agreeing with a LOT of other Republican policies. He might even turn into a Republican ...

This has nothing to do with hugging babies. Don't even try to compare it .... :roll:
 
Well, the way I see it...most people, (even Politicians)...when they do something that is not positive, they will do everything they can to get back into good graces....Obama is an awesome speaker, he may not write his own speeches, but he sure can verbalize them.....Hope & Change are pretty powerful words. So I expect him to do some back-tracking, and trying to send more positive notes (speeches)....afterall, the election is this year. And all the candidates are making so many "promises".

He's gonna get it again, no doubt about it.

What's very sad is that the posters on this thread posting negatively about something that is in all ways positive, are in fact representational of a large portion of this country.

America really does deserve the consequences of its choices.

Actually it sounds like you are trolling. But anyway, surly you realize there is some middle ground between those emotions. What Steinhauer and AC are questioning is motives not actions. That should be pretty obvious.
