Declaration of Occupy Wall Street

The video addressed your question exactly. Yes, why do cops act with such brazen wantonness and impunity? Because as long as nobody gets killed, they know they can get away with it! Seems unbelievable, right? Never in America, right?

Willful ignorance has destroyed America.

Did you even read her whole post?

Seems like to me you skipped and read only the last sentence.

Ohh nice editing job! Take out whole part you don't like and only take what u agreed with.

It was the biggest chunk of biased baloney I've heard in a long time.

hmmm...do a search for police brutality on youtube. I think you'd be shocked at how blatant it can be and how common it is too.

And yes, there are plenty of videos of the police brutally attacking the protestors with batons. You just need to search for occupy wall street police brutality on youtube. The evidence is there.

Sadly, I've friends who insist they were photoshopped. You just cannot win.

Being a LEO is just a terrible job to feel good about these days, same with forensic technicians - lawyers are out to get you in court.
Lots of social unrest and fight the police mentality in the form of groups. Although in the USA it seems the police have more control of the situation than they do in other countries. Outsider footage often shows non-US citizens ganging up and challenging the police.

Damned if you do something right, damned if you do something wrong. It's a tough job.

that can also work both ways, Can be photoshopped to look like police is beating when they aren't or beating without good cause. That's why I watch videos with grain of salt.

The part I quoted is not something I agreed with. I didn't know I was required to respond to every little thing in her post, which were simply responses to my previous post. She made her points, which I am already in disagreement with. No need to drag them out at this moment in time. I was addressing a new opening in the argument.

Look, pal. If you're going to come at me like this, at least try to make sense and be logical when you argue. That is something Reba always maintains, regardless of if I agree with what she says or not.

It's a shame we come to the point of not believing our lyin' eyes.

Haha, I am a graphic designer, it would be obvious if those videos were photoshopped and it would be very very difficult to alter each frame of a video.

if people rather live in denial, too bad for them. They have a real chance to make a difference in a country that allows citizens to speak up for their rights and hold the government accountable unlike in many non-western countries and they won't take advantage of such freedoms and rights. Whatever happened to "For the people by the people"?

Times have changed a lot the recent few years, footage and movie editing has picked up that the average user can make significant changes with some dedication. I'd say aftereffects paved the way for this, Aghori on here is pretty talented in it.

Have you ever seen the Obama door kicking video? It was viral, and there was a lot of editing, but in the end it looked real.

People are leery of videos because they think it is EASY to alter them.

I am looking at videos of police inside crowds of people, it would be very very difficult to alter or insert fake footage of police attacking people with batons inside a crowd of people that are obviously reacting to that attack. It's not like overlaying an effect on a video.

And I just saw that obama video, it was so obviously altered at the end, look at his head as he goes through the door. It was like he walked right through the door itself. It's obviously fake.

I never said it didn't exist. I say that there are some true cases and there are also many false accusations.

Of course, youtube will have many videos under that search. Some are true, some are not. Youtube is not any kind of authoritative depository for evidentiary videos.

Wouldn't people like Deafcaroline be able to spot the fakes? While I did major in graphic design, I am no expert in editing video so I would defer to her when it comes to altering vids.

Switch these two words around and this statement would be more accurate.

I don't think the videos have been photoshopped. However, I do think the interpretation of some videos can be manipulated, especially if the video is viewed in isolation of time and space.
