If I can get them out of hiding for decent ones I will do it. Let's see what daughter came up with.

This is My daughter and Tinkerbell, the female.

Laughing..today, I spoke outloud and even sang...lol my voice is back, I walked without my braces..and so far...have had a magical day..I'm hopin' for no seizures..whew....that might blow my mind...laughing..M♥♥♥

:wave:MidnightSun, I think laughter is very important! I'm so glad you seem happy and looks like you had some good things happen today:)

Today I went to work out and ran bunch of errands, made dinner and husband's lunch for tomorrow, played outside with the guys, did a bunch of laundry and checked out AD!

Well - seems both cats tore the liner stuff off the box springs and went into the old style box springs. Ours is old enough that there are no springs. It's a wood frame with cardboard, batting and fabric. Think 30 years old. We need to replace the bed when we have money.

I have taken the bed apart and nailed on a bed sheet that was not being used. It was from the camper that MIL sold. Still very strong and in good condition. The nails are spaced 1 inch apart to keep paws from trying to tear it off.

Cat obviously came out and were held by family until they got too scared. Bed is now back together and cats have escaped back under it. May be another 24 hours before we see them again.

Hey, what a great idea!! ;) ;)

Wow, MN? Feels bad, man. It's about 29 degrees now in Cambridge, but I can't imagine 16 degrees?!?!?!??!

what you mean you can't imagine? Boston does get as cold as 10 or below usually at this time of the year. Cold Snap's long overdue but this winter has been warmer than last year. whew!

however - it ain't over yet!

back from shooting range and gun shopping. taught my friend to use shotgun and handgun cuz she's going to buy one. then went to Bobby Flay's hamburger. mmm good but pricey.

Sorry to hear that they ruined the liner stuff off the box springs.
Ask your husband to make a cat scratching post. It's cheaper than buying a cat scratching post at the pet store. So, your hubby can make one for you.

yeah, TX you were the one walking on the beach before.....:|

Roommate and I are both down with a cold. Him more than me, he's super sick. Just a head cold for me, which means I couldn't hear a semi drive through a dynamite factory.

They have a scratching post, but won't come out for it. Besides, one of these cats is declawed. Besides, hubby isn't good with tools. It would be me having to build a new one.

theres are different kinds of scratching posts, mine's rope/strings based, carpets one doesnt interest them, I also have an old wooden bench seat (2 seater) with really old and rotten pine, but i left it it because the cats loves scratching those...so what im saying is, dont give up the idea of scratching posts over one kind, try a different kind, doesnt have to be posts, it could be an old wood box for them to jump up and scratch? just ideas...making one up is good idea too but i think its better to find out what they like to scratch then go from there...

Picked my son up from my in-laws, took him bowling, and relaxed at home. Not feeling 100% better yet.

I know sick is no fun. I hope you two feel better soon!

Try to put and rub the catnip on the post but don't pick him/her up and put his/her paws on it (that will only make him/her want to avoid it). Fun building a new one!!! Women rule!!! *wink*

Mine's ropes but no carpets; the ropes are stronger than the carpets and also, they last longer.

The scratching post we have came from the other owner. It is a basic one where the base is coming apart and the post is covered with sisal. It is slowly coming apart and I will work on another soon. MIL also wants to see about a "kittie Condo" thing. I told my brother in Missouri and he's going to cut the lumber and give me the building instructions and such and send it to me. He is also sending the carpet pieces he has left over from a few construction sites. HE has hung it up to totally air out and cleaned all the chemicals out of it. He has built cat condos and runways for his 7 cats to travel down from the basement up to the house level and all around. He had me measure the house and area MIL says to use and he will have the stuff for me.
