I learned a very interesting fact today... especially w/football season quickly approaching!!! I'm sure many of you already know this...

The huddle formation used by football teams originated at Gallaudet University, a liberal arts college for deaf people in Washington, D.C., to prevent other schools from reading their sign language.

Yup I already knew that

:) I'll jump in here and add more tidbit.
The guy who started the huddle name was John Hubbard. He graduated from the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind in 1884. Graduated from Gallaudet in 1888.

But I didn't know that LOL

My hubby has an aunt that is 5 years older than him and she's already a grandmother.

She was an "oops" baby. Her older brother and sister were 20 and 18 when she was born. Family is still trying to figure out where her name came from. Davina.

My mom has a nephew three years older than she is.

When you came from a family of 7... it's easy to be a great aunt earlier than most people.

that baby falling down stairs just crawled under my heart. :( not so funny.

CONGRATS miss delectable!!! it's fun... let me know if you'd like me to make a baby quilt for your great niece. ;) should you had known that before going back austra, you would'va got a bunch of cute clothes for her (or him!!). for some reason I have a feeling it's going to be another girl. :D

alexsmomma...im waiting...

Who's alex?? Do I have another kid ib don't know about??lmao... or you waiting on a reply form another momma?? :D

I just read back far enough to see your earlier reply *oops*

Sure why not?? ;)

Everyday we learn that the VRS providers are lead by greedy corporate people. It is time that we as a community stop being used to fill their pockets. When are we going to have a provider that truly drives on the best interest of the deaf and hoh? When are we going to have a provider that truly drives on integrity?

I said the same thing, I work in the deaf corporates and hearing corporates - they run the same thing. It's really impossible to keep the business clean. I would say some more, but it'll become overrated. so. yeah.

I learned that throwing a hissy fit occasionally can solve problems at work. Think F*** multiplied times 20 or 30 and shouting, stomping, and throwing things. Oh, I never got a disciplinary. I would say to use this method with extreme caution.

Good job on bringing the morale up.

Today I learned that giving the husband permission to use to the air rifle to remove seagulls from the garden is expensive, and as soon as the putty dries on the new shed window we'll seek alternative seagull removal options.
