i learn today: drift.

I learned that my friend and her bf are arguing on fb

Oh, also learned, that my daughter wants to make hats and scarves for soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan.

That's wonderful...very very touching. I wish my daughter was as selfless. Ever since she has moved to AZ, she has become very very selfish and very unappreciative. She is being spoiled rotten over there. After all the things I have done for her,she paged me yesterday saying the reason she chose to move to AZ cuz she hated it here with us. I was stunned but then I got mad. I did a lot for her and showed her love and if she doesnt appreciate me, then I am done with her. Not going to chase after her trying to get in touch with her..not going to send gifts. I will use the money I normally spend on her for Christmas each year on people who really need it like the homeless this Christmas. I am done with this spoiled rotten attitude and I refuse to contribute to it.

Your daughter deserves a big hug for her thoughfulness.

15 and full of it!! :laugh2:

Lmao... sounds right on target!!

Hey is your daughter knitting, crochetting or using a loom??? That's awesome she's decided to do that... Jillio is right there might be places or groups she can get supplies cheap or free to do that... try KeepUSwarm.com I think is the name of it...

They sound like good kids!

I learned that even the smallest of 2 yr olds, can still take up 2/3 of a queen sized bed lol

She learned how to use the Knifty Knitter looms. Her coordination will not let her handle knitting needles and she can't handle crochet. She can't even handle sewing.

She has poor gross motor and fine motor skills, and poor eye/hand coordination.

I LOVE the knifty knitters!!! my mom tried to 'reteach' me to crochet, and I failed miserably (I think she was just a tough teacher, I later figured it out on my own) but she gave me the looms and I was able to crank some stuff out!!! A lot of my friends and I use them-- how cool!!! Sounds like a good kid ;)

Sorry to hear that she's being very disrespectful to you. Well, you know everything that happens in Arizona can be laid at her father's door.

Well, he wanted her to live with him and now he'll have to put up with her behaviour from now on.

I learned that while I am under one of my bipolar episodes, that I do not look into the other person's eyes as I talk. I always focus my eyes on the person talking and/or signing to me when I am feeling fine. The opposite is true when my bipolar is distressing me.

That's what I learned today.

interesting. I thought it's autism that makes you not look in person's eyes.

I learned a very interesting fact today... especially w/football season quickly approaching!!! I'm sure many of you already know this...

The huddle formation used by football teams originated at Gallaudet University, a liberal arts college for deaf people in Washington, D.C., to prevent other schools from reading their sign language.
