still denying global warming?

There is NO proof that man has caused global warming. It's based on a theory. Theory is not proof.

You don't get my post.

You said...
There is no proof that man has caused global warming. NONE! Secondly, CO2 only make up .039 percent of the atmosphere while the rest of the atmospheric gases make up the total 99.94 percent. Rather miniscule when compared to the amount of water molecules in the atmosphere.

I took part of quote out.
"man has caused global warming" - matter of opinion, even if it has no proof.

No, it's a theory that man has global warming. Not a fact. Again, understand the differences.

IPCC is also the alarmist on global warming, too. And bending to the political will elsewhere and meet their policy objectives on environmental control over people. The IPCC have no credibility. Never did after the alteration of "Chapter 8." It's quite simple. Previously in IPCC's "Chapter 8" it stated conclusively that “No study to date has positively attributed all or part [of the climate change observed to date] to anthropogenic causes.” But later it was revised in the final version of their report several sections of that chapter were deleted or modified in order to remove any hints of scientific doubts regarding the claim anthropgenic impact on global warming.

Letter to IPCC Scientists

Imaginary controversy. Even its own letter admitted:

"While the IPCC phrase does not in any way confirm a future warming, it does convey such an **impression** to policymakers.."

IPCC is NOT responsible for people's stupidity. It's responsible for collecting data and making possible scenarios. It's people that thinks that IPCC is making an "impression."

And you have political agenda already.. you're so set on disproving the global warming just BECAUSE of Al Gore and liberal environmentalists.

That isn't working. Give it up.

This has nothing to do with Gore or politics but the actual science and the validity of it all behind the claim. In your own desperation you throw that out as a red herring saying this is about politics or liberals. This is no proof that man has caused global warming. You know that. If you're going to make an argument, make a good one next time.

Do you have hard time to respect his opinion?

Your argument is just like elephant vs. ant.

The global warming is existing and it is based on scientific theory, it is already on dictionary.

Gore is making it as if it's a fact, a proven theory. It is not a proven theory. There is a difference here.

Not the global warming theory which states that it caused by man. That's what I'm talking about. There have been global warming and cooling for hundreds of millions of years now. Even in the last several thousand years there have been times when climate was much warmer than today.

Funny how you use a dictionary as your argument over a theory. Brilliant move.

An interesting conclusion for this summer's ice melting and temperature.
Over the last 2 to 3 months the Arctic median temperature has consistently been below average (see red line beneath the median temp line (green)). Which may very well likely explain why this July month's amount of melting was at its lowerst.

And then the Antarctica (that's the South Pole) is experiencing a 2nd record year in ice expansion and beating out last year.

So much for the gloom and doom of ice melting away into nothing.

Opinion is opposite to fact.

I said MATTER OF OPINION.

Understand something here.

Here's the fact.

What we have is a theory about global warming where some claim that man's output of CO2 has caused Earth to warm up. What I'm discussing is the fact that this is all about a theory and not an opinion.. Theory of global warming as caused by man is not a fact at all, just a theory. And that's a fact.

Understand?

It's someone who, in my opinion, has a lot of credibility when it comes to the scientific method and would probably be horrified at the group think and hubris of today's global warming crowd if he were still around.

You'll find that with many topics around here. Usually from those who have no idea what the scientific method is.

Not reading anyone's mind. Just pointing out that being an armchair scientist doesn't help to qualm people's fears because it doesn't address what they are really afraid of.

Very true.

There is no proof. Read again.

So tell us, oh scientific guru: how exactly would you set up an experiment that shows causation or lack of causation? Correlation can be used to show a connection or lack of connection between 2 events.

There is NO proof that man has caused global warming. It's based on a theory that man caused it. Theory is not a proof. Understand the scientific differences here.

Not based on a theory at all. Based on a hypothesis. Understand the scientific differences here.:giggle:

Gore is making it as if it's a fact, a proven theory. It is not a proven theory. There is a difference here.

Theories are not proven. They are accepted when the hypothesis has been supported over time. You really need to update your information on experimentation, research, and data.

Again, it is a hypothesis, not a theory. Perhaps Foxrac can loan you his dictionary.

Actually, what we have is a hypothesis based on a known positive correlation between CO2 levels and extremes in temperatures. Again, Global Warming is about extremes, not just warming.

And that's a fact.

Uh-oh. Now we are going to hear about Al Gore again. Yeesh.
