Good luck with 2013 then good bye v8 for mostly.
Who care between 5.0L and 6.2L.

The Ford company is considering to put a 4 cylinder in F-150 to replace the V6 engine, but there will be still V8 engine for heavy duty jobs. The 4 cylinder version is used for light duty uses. It's basically the first full size truck to equip with a 4 cylinder engine with a power of a high output V6 engine.

They still often V10 6.8L

That right plus they are think about put diesel I hope they will because diesel in F150 would get 25 mpg to 30 mpg easy.

I just ignore him since it seem he act like Smart and doesn't like to be mistake since I read his posts in another threads.

It remember me of troll at other site that got banned for try make anyone look bad by say you wrong they stop make v8.

Let me tell you did you know F250 superduty weight? almost 7,000 pounds I could get 0-60 in under 7 sec.

That Subaru weigh like 2,500 pounds.

Yeah, I think a diesel 4 cylinder would be a better option for better gas mileage and can even be used for med duty jobs, like you see those isuzu box van that has a huge 4.8 liter 4 cylinder diesel that could haul few thousand pounds of payload no problem.

Depends on the model of the Subaru, the STI weighs about 3,200 lbs (not sure exactly) but has a lot of torque from the forced induction 4 cylinder which helps to propel that thing on 4 wheels. Yea, I think the F-250 has a powerful V10 engine which replaced the gigantic 7.5 liter V8, so I'm not surprised.

AGREE 4 cylinder diesel in F150 I am sure lot people would buy it

BIGGEST PROBLEM is STUPID EPA would stop that. They force them use emission that cause horrible mpg.

We have V10 it get better on gas than 7.5L would get 12 mpg but V10 I could get 14.5 mpg by drive slow and keep rpm under 1,800

One friend of my have v8 5.4L in F250 with axle in 4.10 gear ratio could get 10 mpg or less on his drive way but for me I get 16 mpg by drive at 55 mph on highway that require lot patient.

$150 for wheel bearing on Ford is BS we replace 1 on our mustang it cost $70 for all wheel bearing assemble and they last so long. 150,000 miles on original wheel bearings.

Not surprised about a V10 getting better gas mileage than a 7.5 liter V8...because the engine doesn't have to work harder to move the heavy truck without carrying load. 14 mpg isn't too bad for a V10 powered truck.
You know, the Hummer H3 has a 3.8 liter 5 cylinder engine which gets about 17-18 mpg on the highway, which isn't much compared to a Ford truck with a V8 engine getting 16 mpg. I believe it's due to the aerodymanics of hummer which is boxy looking which can hurt gas mileage.

RIGHT those aerodynamic are ENEMY why air couldn't though fast. Like anyone remember 1970 Van that was HORRIBLE HORRIBLE aerodynamic.

Actual my Dad get worst with V10 he just drive like he have heavy foot but not me. I used to do but not worth to do plus it hurt transmission and engine. when he tow his 5 wheel camper that weight almost 10,000 pounds He get 8 mpg by drive slow.

Yes I know gm have 5 cylinder Inline like my F150 have 6 inline. I am still don't understand why can't Ford make 5 or 6 inline engines that would be awesome.

You should not complain to anyone who buy foreign. :giggle: Yes, F-150 will stop use V8 anymore. Read the link again. 7 seconds is too slow for me. :giggle:

It's true about $150 because my friend who told me that he spend it for his own Ford F-150 2005 truck.

Look yourself. Truth is hurt?

Diesel engine is not easy as you think and mostly BIG city do not have diesel station due pollution. Just good for country city.

you can't say F150 to subaru because subaru are small and light. F150 weight almost 6,000 pounds that why bearing are bigger and heavy duty cost more. Plus we can get cheaper by use Ford employee network for parts. Let say 01 F250 capilar bracket cost $70 but we get $25 from that store. Problem they are for Ford worker.

I am say I am done with you. It remember me of you TROLL who would never accept mistake and try be smart. I rebuilt engines and transmissions so I know which is good for me.

I have diesel 6.9L it get better mpg than gas engine by tow.

I believe you are troll because you though Subaru is small and light and it is not true. You never heard of Subaru Tribeca? It's big and heavy.

You must be misunderstand. Do you care to tell me where I made the mistake? I am happy to admit to tell you what did I wrong.

So what.. I rebuilt engines and transmissions too. What's your point?

F150 2005 4.2L 4x2 weight is 4615 lb that cost almost $150 for bearing wheel and not close enough to 6,000 lbs.

Did you know Ford to take all-wheel drive lead from Subaru?

There are diesel fuel everywhere in Seattle city limits and in suburbs, so your claim is false. Have you actually went to most of those big cities in the US, a picture or u fail.

Found Off Road Dead :laugh2: :laugh2: I hardly believe that Ford will take the all wheel drive lead, let's see if they will put that in a Ford Focus. :giggle:

Try the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO with AWD and auto and its gonna blow a 2nd gen US-spec WRX to the weeds The 1989 1st gen Taurus SHO was just as good as the C-4 generation Corvette going 150 mph on FWD and 24v V6. Fast forward to 2009 with Volvo help the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO with the Ecoboost twin turbo V6 will gladly take on the WRX. ....

The New 2010 Taurus | Ford Vehicles look for the SHO edition :)

Then thank Alan Mulally ex CEO of Boeing, now CEO of Ford cuz if not for him Ford wud be joining GM and Chrysler in bankrupt court. If it wasnt for him coming to Ford and doing all his damned best, the 2010 Taurus SHO wouldnt be here!

Diesel fuel price is more than gas price.

Don't be act like stupid.

Why you don't fly to Chicago and see yourself.

Diesel is cheaper than premium gas.

In my area, diesel is $2.19 per gal and regular gas is $2.14 per gal at Shell, even so close and diesel is cheap at per mile.

There's more diesel station in suburb and rural area but less in city limit of Chicago, I had been seen it and I was wonders about less when compare to suburb.

It could be authorities from city that make restrict the diesel station or something.

ah aerodynamics, i remember way back when Lamborghinin Countach ruled, at that time (1985) a Ford Laser was fairly new on the market, and believe me or not, I was told that the Laser (3 door hatchback) had better aerodynamics than the Lamborghini !!, but ok back on the days, aerodynamic on car wasn't high on agendas in designs except for looks, somehow over time progressions been made to lower the MPGs had gained from what might be media-induced competitions in relations to car tests, meanwhile new car buyers were getting more fickly about what car to choose so yes, the competition between manaufacturers started to become increasingly fierce. As the result, the cars over the years since middle of the eighties changed, granted some people will point out there is also a relationship with science fiction and modernity that created new ideas of what IS the modern look for new cars and cars to appear in near future, the whole thing is tied together. its quite fascinating though, I bet hardly anyone would NEVER think a Lamborghini Countach is worse than a Ford Laser, not by much I'd imagine. For one thing i suspect it's the round edges of the body on where the planes change fold, as opposed the Lamborghini's "sleek low straight line looks" (it did, and boy did it looked fabulous) however when one looks harder its, a rough edge box shape that is slanted like a wedge. The overall wedge shape has fooled everyone.
funny way to look at aerodynamics but heh, i thought i'd just point it out, I'd still rather a Lambo's body, it is more pleasing to the eye, has a much more of an artistic statement than that the shape of the shopping basket LOL.

I don't understand why deaf like foreign cars. To me it angry me.

Anyone who buy Toyota or Honda or foreign should be better think about family in USA are work at factory like Ford or Gm or Chrystal. Worst thing you buy foreign car and those family could be end on street because they lost job because you buy foreign car:mad: Best thing there could be no more welfare because no money.

Buy foreign cars are bad idea for now. Lot people who got lay off are start slash tires or break window on foreign cars here.

How come why most citys have Ford trucks? They know it good truck.

I am sorry if this is rude post because I am so angry now. lot members in my Family work at Ford when they lost it would be nightmare. My Dad smoke 2-3 packs and work 12 hours everyday to keep his job.

I love American cars that which is SUV and truck only, also Mustang too.

I prefer Japanese car for regular sedan car.

Detroit has different society when compare to other cities because of biggest auto industries, that's reason about reaction on foreign car.

Oil crisis is one of them that cause American cars went decline of sale, it was happened in after 2003 then blame on oil companies and OPEC.

Yep! Thank for post here.

sequoias, I told ya!

In 5 years ago, I plan to get VW TDI but I have hard time to find diesel station in anywhere at Chicago and very limits. I feel like annoying so I changed mind and I stuck with Subaru for while.
