Again - see above. You started with "Germany" in your post #3. and see post #20. Jillio started to compare America with Germany, not me. and also to question me by comparing America to Germany - see jillio's post #22.

You deny it.

Re-read your own post.

Jiro´s post #19 - You are NOT UNDERSTANDING the issue that gun restriction does not solve anything. This is something that we have better common sense than German government.

In order to stay on topic - I used Texas instead of America - hence my post #46. Are you trying to derail your own thread? Your thread's about 7-years old being killed in Texas. Not USA, not Germany. TEXAS!

Okay, if you want to use Texas to compare with other states then pick Berlin or Frankfurt to compare with Texas because Berlin or Frankfurt is state of Germany. If you want to use country to compare with other country, then use Germany vs the USA, not the country compare with the state of other country.

I see that you're most likely being coached by Jillio  That's ok. Here's a few serious flaws in your logic (and Jillio's) -

1. Germany and USA are 2 completely different countries in terms of cultural difference, racial diversity, geographical factors, and several other variables.
2. these statistics above are largely caused by CRIMINALS WITH ILLEGAL GUNS (which can be lowered if gun restriction is eased down)

Nice try but your argument is very weak. See my post #95. Nobody commented on it. I'm beginning to wonder how you and Jillio are any different from abortion pro-lifers.... :hmm:

but but but... Texas is nearly as big as Germany :)

No I don't have a problem with Germany because I don't live in there BUT I don't appreciate Liebling's comments in demanding that we should have a knee-jerk reaction in tightening up our gun law over one/few incidents and also making false statements about our gun laws.

off-topic for a moment -
Crime Stats - Germany & USA
Gun violence > Homicides > % homicides with firearms
USA - 39.5604%
Germany - 28.5714%

Interesting.... only 10.989% difference.... I guess Germany's tighter gun laws are pretty useless.....

Thank you very much for wonderful link... ;)

This is total crime, not gun violence.

See my post # 140. It´s about gun violence per capit.

No matter how size our country is but count how many % per 1,000 population of country. Is it not hard to math it?

please educate yourself more on details of those math. Majority of cases are caused by CRIMINALS WITH ILLEGAL GUNS such as robberies, gang wars, drug wars, etc. It's not hard to understand, right?

How can we protect ourself against CRIMINALS WITH ILLEGAL GUNS? What's your solution for that? Please tell me

Please re-read my post very carefully and slowly. That statistic I posted about "Gun violence > Homicides > % homicides with firearms". That is NOT Total Crime. It's the statistic strictly limited to GUN-RELATED.

same thing!!

Too many? yea that's what happen when you live in a huge country with big population and huge diversity... which your country does not have :)

Not same thing.

If you don´t know what the word "SHOULD" mean then check with definition because it´s not same as DEMAND.

how do you test for common sense???

I thought you know the logical when I say "test"

Literacy test... I mean how to use their common sense to be responsible gun owner.

Germany gun violence is 6 times low than the USA.

again.... HOW??????????????

I thought you use common sense to know the logical..

Literacy test for gun owner

Again - many crimes are committed by criminals with ILLEGAL GUNS. I'm VERY CONCERNED for LAWFUL people who cannot carry guns to protect themselves from CRIMINALS.

To back your statement - Please show me statistic on number of LAWFUL CITIZENS committing crimes vs. number of CRIMINALS with ILLEGAL GUNS.

Illegal gun.. See?

that´s why I often say in my POV that it should tight the gun control.

I'm sorry but it's not my responsibility for your misunderstanding. Please do not assume that I know what you're talking about because your understanding of English language and my understanding of English language are different.

Literacy Test. Do you know what Literacy Test is? It means if you can read and write (as well as speak and listen). Why in the world would you need to test a potential gun owner for their literacy?

ok. Agree To Disagree. :)

Here's a little American history for you - We banned alcohol. We tightened drug law. and what happened? waste of money and high crime rates and many innocents died. EPIC FAIL!

because I'm a strong believer in Constitution since it represents freedom, personal responsibility, free thinking, and free choice. Restricting/Banning Amendment 2 means - you're willing to submit yourself to government with blind obedience and to trust the police in protecting you..... remember Third Reich?

  • "No Free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms." -Thomas Jefferson
  • "...to disarm the people - that was the best and most effectual way to enslave them." -George Mason
  • "Americans have the right and advantage of being armed - unlike the citizens of other countries whose governments are afraid to trust the people with arms." -James Madison
  • "Carrying a gun is a social responsibility." -Boatman
  • "A citizen who shirks his duty to contribute to the security of his community is little better than the criminal who threatens it." -Boatman
Ever wonder why Switzerland wasn't never occupied in WW2? :)

I respect your belief but innocent people including children/students, I concern about.

LOL did you really think hillbillies don't know how to read? how do you think they wrote that sign? They went to school too.

yes. what about homeowners with pools in backyard? Many children died. What about drugs? suicides? parent abuses? automobiles? I'm far more concerned about those than children deaths caused by guns.
