Not necessarily. When I took standardized tests in high school, I was always given a number which equated to my IQ. Generally, the results are interpreted the same depending on how well you score on each part of the test.

Exactly. The subtests have scores, and those are calculated to your Deviation I.Q. score. The average and the standard deviation are standardized, and use the same statistical equation to compute no matter which assessment it is. That why we can say that the tests are reliable and valid.

I have no idea why this has turned into "Quiz Melissa on IQ testing", which I never claimed to know
But, you know what, I'm done.

I will talk about general threads, but my child is off limits.

Then I would suggest you not bring her into the discussions.

And it turned into a quiz Melissa on IQ testing because you used it to support a point that was unrelated and to make a claim to knowlege you obviously don't have.

Bott,

By the way, I also sing 1st Soprano, so I can join Daredevel. :giggle:

No, you just claimed to have knowledge about IQ testing that has since proven to be in error.

I claimed to have had my daughter given a test. That is all I claimed. I even said I didn't know which tests were used. How much clearer do I need to be? I am not a specialist!
