Dont like being hauled to the grave yard in a gas-guzzling Caddy?

A Japanese coachbuilder just came up with the ultimate hybrid...a Prius hearse.

Prius Hearse Makes Your Last Road Trip a Green Ride

"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust"... the great circle of life is as green as it gets, so why not make your final road trip an environmentally friendly one?
That's the idea behind the upcoming Toyota Prius Hearse by Lequios. The Japanese hearse manufacturer has plenty of experience with modifying Toyota products and by basing their newest model on the popular hybrid, is simply responding to clients' requests for a more eco-friendly vehicle.

I'd rather have a Caddy as my final ride than the Prius hearse.

Looks like a nice final ride... But no thanks!

I don't see how it is possible for a hybrid that size to be effective to transport caskets around.

If the Caddy hearse and the Prius hearse went head-2-head in a drag race, with a loaded coffin in the back. The Prius would lose to the Caddy, but the Prius-driving funeral director would be laughing his ass off saving so much gas $ at the pump.

Too bad, the Prius hearse might be junk in 5 years when a Caddy hearse might do its job in 20 years lol. That's cuz I dont think a 4 banger hybrid would really handle the stress of funeral service carrying a heavy coffin.

I have a feeling that the Cadillac Escalade Hybrids might replace the traditional Cadillac Deville/DTS as hearses of choice among funeral directors in the future....

I know someone who had sex in a hearse !! - kinda creepy, but as for a hearse, Id rather be in a Rolls Royce, my step father had his last ride in that.

When I was in college I was looking for old Hearse but I ended up buying 1977 Toyota Corolla because Hearse is hard to find on the listing. If I had a hearse, I would have modified the side door which the casket rail turns the casket to side. I was planning to build one for keg of beers and bar that rolls out.

The drawback for Hearse is that I can't drive fast around the corner or else I will hightail and spins at the curve. Aint worth it.

Just throw me in the trunk and take me to be cremated. I don't want any of the funeral brouhaha.
