On Friday, I depart for a 7 day cruise to the Caribbean! I did this with my family last year and we had a blast. I wasn't taking ASL then, but I noticed that some of the public events had interpreters. I really hope I bump into some ASL users this time... I've only ever signed with one deaf person before, and it was sort of arranged (my ASL professor has connections in the local deaf community, and some of her friends kindly volunteered to sign with us newbies). It was a great experience, but I'd love to have an impromptu signing experience as well. Cross your fingers for me! :D

Royal Caribbean already deaf friendly. We all about 3,000 deafies went on 2007 (deaf freedom). It was blast! They all know ASL.

I am sure any cruise is very aware about deaf groups or deaf couple comes on cruise that need some requires.

That's awesome! Coincidentally, I'm going on a Royal Caribbean cruise on a ship called Freedom of the Seas.
