Future designer laptop - Rolltop

See that ? Technology is way, way too advance! It gives people too easy life. :shock:

I think it's cool! Would love to see it in the near future... or maybe, it is now ? :fingersx:

Roll over is bad idea. It may scratch on the screen.

Well, maybe you can cover it with a special "blanket" or shall I say "thin velvet " or somethin' that will protect the screen ? :hmm: There's another way to protect it. :)
 
It looks nifty. I don't think we would see such out there anytime soon, probably not in our lifetimes.

Could you give me a link, please? Lately, anything from YouTube shows up blank in here (at least, to me).

Uh, never mind. I googled and found it at http://gadgets.infoniac.com/rolltop-laptop-concept.html and I thought you was talking about rolltop desk which I would really love to have. I mean the large one like in 1800's not the dinky ones I see now.
 
OLED display and bendable & wearable display's already here. and they exist only in Japan :)

It will happen in our lifetime but it will not be anything like this because why would they be using futuristic concept with old technology like power plug and USB cable?

Wireless Power's already here so it will be wireless power cord. USB will no longer exist in future because it will be replaced by something like advanced-version of bluetooth.
 
I got an OLED t-shirt... :lol: Very popular at raves... especially among the candy-kids. Costed me $150... * cringes *

Only thing is... would an OLED-based laptop would even be durable?

OLED tv screen already existed. Saw it at the store. It was amazing. I don't see why not for laptop version.

probably long after you discard it. After all..... most of us replace our tv/computers/cars/etc before they break on us, right?

Maybe, you could be right.... but, still never know. :)
I noticed that everything ( technology ) are gettin' small and small than before. Things are gettin' lighter than before and easy carry around than desktop/PC. I will not be surprised if, it comes in the near future. I think it would be nice, thou.

you soon will be carrying a "mini" computer on your hand in a month. It's called iPhone :)

That will be cool to see one like this. How come Japan already has them, not America ? I would love to see one NOW! :giggle:
 
That's pretty cool as it would be easier to carry it on plane, train and bus... no more huge laptop bags. But then rolltop won't be protected from rain. :)
