    403 Forbidden issue

Earlier today my attempt to browse alldeaf.com was met with a 403 Forbidden notice. I have attached a screenshot of the incident. I remember having a similar error a few weeks ago. Other than those two errors, I have not had any problems browsing this website since joining and my computer system...

    My audiogram

@ErinC Thanks for sharing! I just went through cochlear implantation and am having great results. I am profoundly deaf in both ears and currently have a Cochlear Nucleus 7 in my right ear and a Phonak Naida Q50 UP in my left ear. I've had a few digital hearing aids over the years but they are...

    My CI improvement

Yesterday I had an appointment with my audiologist to fine tune the cochlear implant in my right ear and fitting for a digital hearing aid in my left ear. The first thing that was done was to re-program one of my old digital hearing aids (a Phonak Naida Q50 UP) to help me with sound in my left...

    My ci journey

I didn't feel that a Kanso would stay in place as well as the Nucleus does. I run and have an earmold attachment to help secure my sound processor.

Anyone with ci's in both ears?

It's surgeon-specific, could have to do with the method used for implantation. Maybe he wants the incision to heal before putting a sound processor over it. They didn't use sutures with me, they used Dermabond, and my incision was healed in a week.

Anyone with ci's in both ears?

Thank you for the feedback, Everlucent, that is good information. I got my right ear implanted on the 9th of this month and it was activated a week later. At first, everything sounded "robotic", but after using it for two weeks things are beginning to sound like I remember them. My audiologist...

Anyone with ci's in both ears?

Thank you very much, this is good to know. Well, if the tinnitus doesn't change, it will be no worse than it is now.. at least the CI will help with hearing.

    I'm scared please help

What you need is to seek professional psychological help. Asking total strangers for this type of help is dangerous. Leave the internet alone for a while and find a qualified therapist who is able to conduct a proper examination.

Anyone with ci's in both ears?

I have suffered with tinnitus for 25 years. After getting a CI in my right ear, I noticed that the tinnitus in that ear was almost eliminated. Would it be fair to assume that the tinnitus in my left ear would also be drastically reduced when I get my left ear implanted? I have to wait for 6...

    My ci journey

I chose Cochlear for the following reasons: Functionality: The Nucleus 7 CI has 22 channels, more channels than the competition and long-term (+10 years) expectations are higher Interaction: The Cochlear remote control is smaller, and made better, and provides feedback via the included LCD...
