YouTube.com on mobile

When I was trying to play youtube mobile clips and it opened Windows Media player and said invalid file. I tried downloading that plug in but it's not working properly. I will fix it later. :) I have gotten desktop youtube website's movie clips working on my phone but it runs very slow, I got it on Opera Mobile. ;) I guess the processor can't handle that much load.

On the 8525 it try to open RealPlayer that probably why it say file format not supported so I am trying to figure out how to change file assiocation in IE to Windows Media instead of Real Player.

Anyone know how?
 
oh.. there is only one video player application that accepts 3gp file association.

go to get TCPMP(tcpmp.pocketpc.0.72RC1.cab)

deafclimber, I downloaded it and installed it. internet exploder still opens it with windows media player. I couldn't find the settings to make the web browser open a specific media player or the media player to open when I click the link of a streaming video.

open TCPMP
go to SETTING > SELECT PAGES > FILE ASSOCIATION > then mark a check on box of MPEG4 that comes with 3gp.

just did what u told me to do. it opened with tcpmp, but got error saying rtsp protocol not supported!
 
that is strange. ok i ll look for a solution. some websites are blocked on my pc at work so i may find a solution at home later tonight.


3gp is accepted to any 3G mobiles only because streaming the video require the high speed to run smoothly.

I wonder.. Nokia 6822 is G3 since it have 3gp.
 
for 8525 users... good and bad news

good news is that HTC will release upgraded WM6 to cingular 8525.

bad news is that it will release this coming fall and it will come "black shadow" prgram that would work on YouTube's video on your 8525. :(

HTC: Products: AT&T 8525 - scroll down and you ll see what WM6 will come with for those 8525.

MS didnt make a wise decision with more file applications for WM5's video player.

GRRR ! oh well.
 
I don't understand why M$ is popular but software is not everything for mobile unlike Palm.

you can curse at MS if you want :)

yet there are many over 500 products that are designed for WM5 but not only one tiny thing for YouTube.com. i guess i can live without it til this fall.

Fall?! They said they were gonna release WM6 in June/July on most new phones. Wow, Microsoft didn't promise customers.

It not Microsoft

It's HTC and the carrier becasue Microsoft already provided them with the OS so it up to them to customize it for their hardware and their carrier.

Example different video player or music store etc for different carrier companies. Also different data settings etc.

AT&T did mentioned was going to be at the end of June but I am sure they had more ideas to add to the WM6 so they probably going to postpone it now.

Look at Sprint Mogul already WM6 on HTC hardware so it already out but carrier "AT&T" is delaying offering upgrade.
