and Komondork...Index
I've only seen them at conformation shows.
can take up two or three days for that coat to dry after a bath...

Why not just use a cool setting hair dryer to dry the fur ? You could think that would be bad for the dog skin to stay wet so long.

that's a good question.
so I looked around and found this little guideline as part of a longer article regarding corded breeds:

"Approximate drying times:
Running in warm sunshine: 1 hour
Blow drier (on mature cords): 1.5 hours
Crate drier: 2.5 hours
Drying naturally indoors: forever!"

usually a reason why dog breed is what it is like terrior bred for ratting blood hound tracking,so what and why this animal bred like this apart from big mop clean floor

this from dogbreedinfo.com:

"This thick, corded, white coat helps the dog blend in well with sheep and also helps protect it from any prey that it might be called upon to fight in his role as a flock guardian."

that makes sense.

:(your friend and her Pittie

to many people, dogs are sadly still considered "throw-away objects"

yep they do...anything with a face should be loved and cared for....
the people who breed banned dogs should be sent to prison, they make fortunes of money

I think, at least here, more people are aware of these kinds of issues now

i think uk bit better with dogs, when i been to states i seen people on roadside selling pups, that would not happen here i think you get lynched if tried, but we have the underground heartless breeders tho it is prison if they catch you and pits are destroyed that the law but how often it followed i not sure ..plus dog fighting just awfaul

i agree with that, but wait there's a lot of exploitation like this, like law makers who 'breeds us' to be their production workers....

yes grum true
i have asked friend (her son irrisposonable boy)if she prepared to watch her little grandchildren play with dog as it eats ignor or like cat come when it called then i will take it.She not prepared to do it so it sadly going be destroyed later to day...so sad

well you know those carpet driers? it's noisy a big fan blowers cold air violently along the floor...i think that would be the best way to blow dry the dog for an hour...but have it right on other side of asouctically insulated wall and lit the 'mouth' flow big air from under it into the big crate/cage where the komodor rets (and plug in ear plugs in them too, make one big enough)...oh wait ear muffs would do it, so long the dogs trained to wear it earlier on...like i bike with 2 dogs on leashes one on each side people freak out when watching me zoom 40km.hr with 2 dogs, a hunting dog and a farm dog on full bike speed at the river LOL but they dont know i trained and trained, and i wouldnt recommend other people to try copy, its dangerous...(criss cross and pulling out sideways happnes often - unpredictable so the motocross history i had helped, strong arms...hold on the bike and 2 crazy dogs LOL

aslong as clear dog crap up people can have pack of them, they dont clear it up and still have a pack of dogs...myself would make it capital offence i sick to death cleaning dogs mess up..
people seem think it bio-degradeable fling it into sea and tide wash it up again ggggggrrreee:mad2:

 Not for me! Once both of our dogs pass away, that is it for us. It was rather too much when it comes to long distance traveling.
