I found this on my Facebook from a radio station, Would you rather have a friend who has a huge ego or no self esteem?

I am curious about what you have to say and fire away.

After , reading the comments from Air1 radio, both huge ego and no self esteem boil down to insecurities and self -centered. In my opinion, someone with a huge ego has a hidden insecurity and needs something to fulfill and be self centered.
Now, the friend with no self esteem, wants to be center of attention in a melancholy way , feeling sorry for themselves, and need attention.

I would love both of them as a friend, perhaps be the encourager to the friend with no self esteem and also, do the same for the huge ego buddy.

I might get some smack for my reply

I've had friend that have had egos and friends who don't have good self esteem. The ones with egos crack me up, usually in the long run, get what's coming to them, and my friends who don't have good self esteems, it's great watching them blossom into fine confident individuals. :)

I would rather have the huge ego friend. I don't have enough patience for the constant reassurance needed by the low self esteem person.

I used to have no self-esteem so iam grateful for the friends who have stuck by me when I was so down on myself for years.

Both, I'm a good listener, so if a friend has a low self-esteem, my door is always open for a friend in need. :)

I could not stand a friend with a huge ego. I've had them before, and they become very irritating very quickly. I'm not a person with very high self-esteem myself (I'm not melancholy about it... I make jokes about myself and make people laugh... therefore I consider myself quite tolerable :P), so being with someone with a huge ego would probably make me feel worse about myself. "I'm so much better than you..." and etc. is not something I like to hear daily. :)
