The Maryland School for the Deaf is sponsoring a workshop, Pathways to Parenting Sat. Sept. 9 from 9:00 a.m. – 2: 30 p.m. at its Columbia Campus, 8169 Old Montgomery Road. Speakers include Janet DesGeorges and Leeanne Seaver. Breakout sessions include: The Parent Path: Planning Alternative Tomorrow’s with Hope; ASL, Literacy and Your Deaf Child; An Introduction to Parent Advocacy: Dispelling the Myths around the Parent Advocacy Role; Cochlear Implants: Answers to Your Questions. Door Prizes, Lunch and Vendors.
Childcare will not be provided for this workshop.
