Renee Harmon says she hasn't seen the three children she helped raise since birth, since last September.
Harmon says it's because her former partner, Tammy Davis, shut her out of their lives.
Renee says she is now suing Tammy in Wayne County Circuit Court for parenting time or partial custody. It is expected to be a landmark case because, even though Renee and Tammy lived like a couple for 19 years, their past relationship isn't recognized in the legal sense in the state of Michigan.
