PROVO, Utah (ABC 4 News) - Police say an Provowoman was beaten with a golf club by two people just after midnight Friday morning.

Police say the woman claims Arthur Brasher and Michelle Hanks kicked in her front door and entered her apartment when Brasher began to hit her with a golf club multiple times.

Police say Michelle joined Arthur in kicking the victim.

According to police, the victim suffered some bumps and bruises to her upper body and face.

At or around 3:00 a.m., police say officers received a call of a suspicious red truck parked in the parking lot of 801 South State Street.

When officers arrived, police say they found both Arthur and Michelle, and both were taken into custody.

Arthur Brasher was booked into the Utah County Jail for Aggravated Burglary, Assault, Possession of Spice, and Possession of Paraphernalia. Michelle was booked in for Aggravated Burglary, Assault.

Provo Police Sgt. Matthew Suifanua told ABC 4 that the victim knew the suspects, who broke into her home to collect on what they claimed was a debt owed to them by the victim.
