Wolf Creek Golf Course to host golf clinic for local deaf children on May 9th and 10th
Wolf Creek is very excited to host a Utah Deaf Golf Camp with Rob Strano, a former Touring Professional Golfer and that travels the country doing golf camps for deaf children that are taught completely in American Sign Language. Currently he is the only Professional actively doing this in the world.
Rob was approached by the Utah School for the Deaf to have an event in the area. Rob does these events nationwide at great facilities such as TPC Stadium Course, World Golf Village, Marcus Pointe GC, TPC Scottsdale, Starr Pass Resort and Ravenwood GC just to name a few. This will be one of over 15 camps for deaf children that Mr. Strano conducts this year.
“We are very excited to be a part of such a great opportunity to bring top quality golf education to deaf children," said Chad Stoddard. “Our facility will allow each child a professional, hands-on experience at a championship golf course, and allows us to further bring the game to everyone who has an interest".
The two-day camp will take place from 9a.m. to 3p.m. each day. The instruction will allow each participant the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of golf while also instilling the values inherent in the game.
Wolf Creek Resort & Club is a 2,500-acre master planned resort community in Eden, Utah with an 18-hole PGA golf course and 18 additional planned holes designed by Golf Hall of Famer Larry Nelson. Future plans call for a new Member clubhouse, a full array of family amenities at the Family Recreation Village , a pitch-n- putt course, a resort village with shopping and dining, condominium hotels, full service spa and a continued blend of resort condominiums, town homes, single-family homes and homesites.
