Wireless Carriers' Rate Plans for the Deaf

They don't exist...yet.
I've started up a petition for wireless carriers in Canada to start offering rate plans for the Deaf/HOH that won't force us to pay for voice/talk services we cannot use. It's time to start demanding rights to have plans that suits our needs, not that of the hearing community.
If you are tired of paying for voice/talk services and having to pay extra for text msgs - now is the time to sign the petition!
If you are located outside of Canada - start up your own and let us know. The more signatures we collect, the more power we'll have in pressuring wireless carriers to start offering rate plans that does not force us to pay for voice/talk services. Why should we have to pay more than the hearing for access to wireless communication? It ain't right!

Hi, I respect this petitions you have the rights!

The cellphones companies will ignore your petitions for the voice plans. Or you can't using internet, emailn and instant messengers without the cellphone number. As of basically concept: you use pc on internet throu modem phone. If you want to use pc on internet without modem, therefore you can't receive email, internet, and instant messeging at all. Trust me.

But my advice for you, if you options the voice plans. You tell them "please put the block on my phone number", no one call you. That's simple. I did it like that blocked cellphone numbers after option the voice plans.

That is incorrect, You don't need a voice plan to use internet or data and every activated cell phone are provided with a phone number even without a voice plan.

A voice plan is a plan offered by the carrier for total voice minutes avaiable for those who want to make voice calls on their phone without being charge per minute usage.

AT&T TAP plan does not have a voice plan and is data only plan and you still get a private phone number and can receive incoming calls or make outgoing calls for per minute charages.

Sprint Wireless data plan does not have a voice plan either and is data only plan and you still get a private phone number and can receive incoming calls or make outgoing calls for per minute charages.

Even Sidekick have data only plan and no voice plan needed either and you still get a private phone number and can receive incoming calls or make outgoing calls for per minute charages..

Other carriers forces you to get a voice plan when you don't need or want for phones with data only capitabity and this petition that DeafCaroline is trying to start is to be similar to USA's carrier offers to deaf commuities a data only plan without a voice plan in Canada with their cell carriers.
