Windows 7 Release Candidiate

If it is true...then what about the OEM that came pre-installed?

I remember I built the computer for my friend with Windows XP OEM. Few months later Vista released and he paid $5 or something for get Windows Vista (full-install) and shipped his house from M$.

Good news: if you're forced to buy a Windows Vista computer in the later half of the year, Microsoft will upgrade you for free to Windows 7, with versions syncing up (Home Premium to Home Premium, etc.)

Bad news: it's optional to OEMs, so not everyone will be participating. And while it's a pipe dream, there's still sort of the resentful residue of a feeling that given Vista's epic crumminess, Microsoft should be upgrading everyone to 7 for free anyway.

You will see more info on it and FAQ.

I have Windows 7 RC too, so basically we have less than a year to buy a full version or will we have to pay to upgrade?

Did P3 work with Windows 7 after installed? I won't install Windows 7 RC yet.

If you have more than 1 PC then you can install it, also you need proper driver for webcam or wouldn't display in Windows 7.

You would have wait until last release when many bugs are iron out.

I am using 32 bit for Windows 7 :)

Oh, I guess that I could try to install 32 bit of Windows 7 but won't take advantage of full 4 GB RAM.

I use 32 bit of Windows 7 for MacBook Pro and enable the Aero theme, no problem so far.

So in theory speaking 64 bit had some issues??

Yup, it does like in Vista.

For Vista, when I use 32 bit and there's no network issue but when I use 64 bit, there's network issue that haven't solved by MS for very long time.

32 bit and 64 bit has different written on bugs.

I got email from Nvidia and gave me a instruction about install in safe mode, I will try it.
